Few points I didn't mention: - Zhongli can one tap the heads of the golden wolflord - I didn't recommend burning for 12-2 because more people will have hyperbloom available and if people can play burning they can probably play kinich or mualani then otherwise they will lack dps - Any hydro catalyst can work just fine for the Pyro boss Let me know if you have any questions!

As concept, I personally love the tenebrous papilla, it's an interesting enemy, the fact that it uses many attacks from previous bosses is nuts. However, it's disgusting how they made this boss with a shield that can be easily countered only with Natlan characters.

For real. It feels rather annoying how they literally just force you to have a Natlan unit to easily break the shield. This abyss is so annoying because of all the requirements and restrictions. You think you have a bomb team? Well, fuck you because you don't. You either don't have a Natlan unit, a hydro unit, a bow unit so the teams are all over the place.

Tbh it’s not really just “countered by Natlan characters”. Nightsoul won’t save a character from having bad attack rate, half the Natlan cast isn’t even good against it, whereas a decent number of forgotten old characters are really good

They ramped up the difficulty because you have absolute powerhouse characters like Zhongli and Neuvillette rerunning. I hate 12-1 Chamber 1, it feels like they crammed way too many enemies in it (those two dumb constipated beasts at the end are serious time wasters)

This is a growing problem with Genshin in general is that they seem to struggle to add difficulty to enemies gameplay and rather just have stalling mechanics or more hp It's definitely not a fun way to make the game harder and I hope they figure out a different way in the future :(

I really hate this abyss. Both sides need a bow character (I’ve lost 50/50 on two Furina banners so no Furina servants), Geo for golden wolflord and then there’s the Natlan character boss. A character pull check abyss.

This Abyss feels like a Character Check. I ran Hydro Dragon and Archon, Kazuha and Zhongli to half and Nahida, Yealan, Xinqiu and Kuki bottom. I found it easier to break that bosses shields using Xinqui instead of Nahida as the driver. Fun fact. Xinqui rain shields was tanking the blast if it was not broken in time. I personally don't understand why. No matter the character on field they would get blasted/damaged to 1hp and Kuki would heal them back up lol. My Kuki and Xinqui is C6 and my Nahida and Yealan is C1. I got lucky and have been playing FTP since I started the game back when Zhongli 1st got Released.

Edit : it was 73rd attempt 💀 52th attempt finally 3* the floor 12-1 by 3 sec Team 1 : Neuvilette, Furina C1 , Kazuha , C2 Kachina Team 2 :Nahida,Yelan, C6 Xq,C6Kuki I noticed that in the first half I cleared the two lava without getting interrupted , same with sumeru ladies and the last two consecrated beast didn't knock me up more than once I cleared it around 8:10-15 Probably got widsith buff always and used Kachina wisely to obtain all draconic stacks For 12-1-2 HB was very straight forward I timed Nahida burst to not waste unnecessary time , didn't got interrupt once and cleared 3 sec before Now I'll try to 3* Floor-12-3 (12-2 already done)

i actually used childe on the qucasaur cause his 2 hits of hydro due to riptide application actually gets through the pyro shield pretty quickly (he was in a neuvillette, kazuha and xilonen comp) and i used a diluc burgeon vape comp with yelan, nahida and zhongli--diluc can vape and burgeon while yelan can steal some vapes-- and i got 36 stars overall, i actually really liked this abyss (i love difficulty increases), a nice combo of actually having to plan your teams and understanding strategy and boss mechanics instead of just the usual arlecchino unga bunga caveman playstyle

For the Papilla burning is really good as every burning tick counts for the shield

Yes burning works great for the shield! Only issue I have with burning is that unless you have the right dps for the team most people won't have enough dmg so feels like hyperbloom is more comfortable

@@KomemosGITrue, looking at Abyss clears, the only burning teams that had enough DPS had Emile or something else so invested they could have also beaten the boss even with the high resistance. The 4 star or unconventional burning that I saw (e.g. main DPS Dehya) timed out for 2 stars (and of course if you brought a Kinich burning team, Kinich would solo the shield down regardless of the burning)

17:03 One item I found with Navia for first half is she is not that good for the multi wave in the first chamber first half and can fail the DPS check if lower investment (at least without high end support like Xilonen or Furina). The lava monsters especially have movement patterns where they bury themselves and can come up ungrouped. I used C1 Navia, C2R1 Yelan, C2 Kachina, Bennett for chambers 2 and 3 full stars (and failed chamber 1), then I reset with a team with AOE hydro damage to get the final chamber 1 star. (Reminder that it’s OK to target only some chambers and then reset with different teams.)

The two constipated beasts, the flying ququsaurian that just wastes time, the horrible flower and the flying dragon at the end. I finally got Neuvilette and Zhongli and was so excited to go Neuvilette Furina Kazuha Xilonen and Alrecchino Yelan Zhongli and Bennet, but this abyss is countering me so terribly. I tried putting Xilonen on Arle's team for the flower but it's still not enough, I'm so bummed. I don't know if it's truly that this abyss is the worst, my builds are not enough or I'm just a bad player

This abyss patch is mainly about giving players an exam. On how much do we know about the bosses' moves and do we actually have the characters needed for countering their moves. Absolutely hard for f2p and non-mega players.

Idk if this tip helps. If u fail to destroy the plant thingy shield, just use zhonglis ult since his ult has one of the longest animation which helps u bypass the insta death

it was my first time facing papila. I didn't even knew how to avoid it's ultimate atk. After trying 2 or 3 times i realised that i can easily avoid it's ultimate atk just by using my character burst. And that's how I got 3 star from second with arlechino burst😂😂

yeah but it's hard to read exactly when it explodes and I have to reset a lot. I got the white bar to the edges and dissapears and it still hits me, so I don't know what i'm doing wrong. Then I need C6 Yae and C3 Raiden to barely kill it in time with it's 70% resistance. And since it's on chamber b it's a hassle to just practice.

@@Marc-w1f5x I tried to hyperbloom Papilla's shield about 100 times and never managed to break it in time (always almost broke it, but never completely). So I gave up, decided to i-frame the deadly attack, hyperbloomed all the monster forms it turned into like hell with the 70-80% resistance ... and then it started to do the shield thing again. But this time I had a lot of dendro cores all around, all skills and bursts ready and I managed to break it and 3* this chamber just a few seconds before the time limit for 3 stars passed. Team used: Xingqui (C6 level 80) - Yelan (C0 level 80) - Nahida (C0 R1 level 90) - Kuki (C1 level 90) . My characters are mid with 4* weapons except Nahida, who has her signature ...

@@deimoska79 you need a very high damage team if you don't break the shield. I finally managed to break it consistantly with EmilieE-DeyhaEE-Yae Miko EEE ,XilonenEQ then burst with Deyha. I'm not sure how much time you have to break it but I think doing too many burst animations might put you over the time limit. And if I don't break it Deyha survives the blast.

@@Marc-w1f5x I lacked bursts of some characters because of previous floor and only have Kuki C1 (and I was running a team without DPS, because my C0 Yelan is built as a support, has Favonius lev. 80) ... I think you need 13 sec to break the shield. But as I wrote, I managed to 3* the floor without breaking the shield, so even with my not so strong team I had enough damage to make it in time, but it was a bit of time race and was hyperblooming like crazy. I had no problem with surviving the attack ... I will pull for Mavuika, so maybe it will be a piece of cake for her. I have a high suspicion of meeting this boss in Imaginarium Theater as well sometimes ...

@@deimoska79 yeah it's still beatable but the timer is too close for my liking. I'll get Mavuika but not just for this boss. I think people are underestimating how great of an off field Pyro support she'll be because they focus on the DPS potion of her kit. With C1 permanent skill uptime that follows the active character and does AoE damage + Cinder City buff! 750 wishes saved so C2 at least. She straight out powercreeps DeyhaC3 which is the only Pyro unit I use now. My favorite "Hyperbloom" team is Raiden C3(DPS build)-Nahida C3-KazuhaC2-Furina C6 . Destroys abyss chambers in speed run times with high raw damage on top of Hyperbloom.

for burning 2nd floor you can easily use benny, xiangling, any dendro with dps of your choice, or Arlecchino team with a dendro slotted in, emilie or nahida would probably be peak for non natlans. I did it with Raiden benny xiangling tighnari (collei also good because bow unit for flr 3) but my Raiden is a c3 monster, so results may vary. you may also need to redo floor 1 with a different team, since it may be suboptimal for that floor.

For the Papilla, I didn't bother with breaking the shield. I waited it out until the explosion then my Neuvillette hyperbloom brute forced it even with the 80% resistance.

This entire 12th floor is just char lock, first team needs geo, and hydro but they put an enemy that has high res to hydro and a fkn wolf that cant be targetted by half hydro, team 2 us either natlan or hyperbloom but then again you MUST have a bow character

U forgot ayato hyperbloom which is very comfy i already 36* abyss day 1 and tried ayato in sec account and got 3* in that chamber pretty ez but didn't get 3* in last chamber due to Robot flying away from my ayato and if i retried with different team like adding Ororon or fischl the dmg will be not enough to clear coz it's not very well investment in my sec account and no mora left for upgrades
