What i hate about that Wolflord boss is that the thing you have to break has freaking ICD. We already brought a geo. Yet we still get punished for a short time. Kachina cant break it easily, Noelle sure as hell couldnt without a burst. Hell Xilonen cant even do it quickly. You need fckn Ningguang, Zhongli, Gorou, etc.

The part I hated most on that boss in the open world was how heads don't count as enemies so skills used on them make no energy particles. You don't even get heals by attacking them with Barbara and that boos wants you to heal corrosion :(

There's a way to use Kachina but it's still a pain. Basically, position yourself in front of the Wolflord when he enters his annoying state (you know what it is). When he spawns those head, one of it will always be in the direction that he is facing. Drop Kachina's Skill when it starts screaming and move to the next one. It takes 6 hits (3 Geo instances) and you can start working on the 2nd one with just instances while waiting (with C2, you can drop her burst here, but do it after 1st head is destroyed). By the time the 1st one is finished, you should be about halfway or almost finished with the 2nd one too. Then rush to the third one and Kachina's Skill should be almost out of CD by now. It should take about 20-30 seconds in total.

Hard? No, it was never hard to begin with. It's restricted by a lot gimmick. If you had the proper characters to use, it'll be a piece of cake. But if you don't have those characters and your roster is limited, then it's gonna be stressful. It is tedious and unfun, this is one of the few rotation that i don't replay after getting 36 stars due to how unfun it is.

15:00 I was surprised that Chasca's aim mode skill doesn't hit the weak points. They featured something like that in her story quest. It was used on obstacles but the NPC did mention aiming at the weak spots.

I had to do Neuvillette Hypercarry (Moga's "steamroll team") for chamber 1 and Nahida + Yelan + Xingqiu + Kuki hyperbloom for chamber 2 in order to 36 star and even then, it was a _really_ close thing. And I have Nahida's signature weapon (no constellations on any 5 stars, though). This Abyss is _rough_ and the fact that so many of the bosses just waste so much time does not help. Saw some interesting comments in Soluna's stream. One guy said he wouldn't be be able to 36 star this Abyss, and that that was the first time that had happened to him in months. I thought I was going to be in the same boat.

But next day I took them as best option for Chamber 3 to receive stars and finally found pattern how to destroy shield and I achieved stars from Chamber 2 with them too. You need to keep bursts for shield (mainly Kuki, XQ and Yelan, I didn't use Nahida's as it's very slow). I had shield twice during fight, so I had to have ready bursts for beginning and then use them for nothing else but shield. Lot of timing/skill and nerves, but doable. I gave Yelan weapon with EM also and have Nahida and Yelan C0 (with Nahida cons it should be easier, but I'm not millionar 😄).

This guide is correct for the most parts, u need a Geo Unit for the Golden Wolford, Bow Unit for Aeonblight Drake, Natlan Unit (or fast attacks) for the Tenebrous Papilla, and Hydro unit for the Qucusaur Tyrant (and yes he's correct, Furina is mostly prefered. Furina is the cheat code)... but I wish his gameplay is far more relatable to most players. He has Xilonen C2 to be specific. You can see Neuvillette's Max HP changes after Xilonen's Source Sample is over. See at 6:32 - Neuvillette's HP went from 44044 to 37431, the +45% Max HP buff is gone. Then, slightly afterwards at 6:38, Neuvillette's Max HP went back to 44044 after Xilonen re-used her E. I have C2 Xilonen and it's easy to tell if someone at least has C2 Xilonen if they are using a Hydro Carry. Probably R1 too, which makes this "guide" or rather gameplay isn't relatable to most players. Neuvillette itself is already a cheat code, let alone having a C2 Xilonen on the team. Also, Neuvillette is R1 with at least C1 (interruption resistance and +1 stack when he takes the field). Yeah, a very relatable guide indeed edit: ooookay, nvm. i just checked akasha, this dude has C3R1 Neuvillette. Wow.

little tip for everyone struggling with papilla boss on chamber 2 first half, took me a couple of tries to figure out but burning does wonders, i used arlecchino, emilie, bennett and collei (c6) with sac bow and a lot of er to make her apply as much dendro as possible and to buff emilie with deepwood, plus she's a bow so works with chamber 3. as for the second half, any furina team will get the job done as long as there's also geo (i used navia xilonen furina yelan but a team like hu tao double hydro with zhongli could also work i think)

The current state of abyss nowadays feels like you need to pull the featured 5 stars in order to clear it. The first half is basically Neuvillete's broken Xilonen/Furina/Kazuha team check for players. The abyss has been perfectly designed to screw over any account who cannot bring this team to the abyss. Just look at all the restrictions: 1) Cannot bring pyro dps: 12-1: Avatar of Lava (70% Res to pyro) 12-1: Consecrated Red Vulture (70% Res to pyro) 2) Need Hydro character for Goldflame Qucusaur in 12-2. 3) You also need res shred in the team because bringing hydro character for 12-2 is gone screw you over in 12-1 since Consecrated Horned Crocodile has high hydro res. 4) Need geo for 12-3 to destroy Wolflord's pillars. It is just so obvious what Hoyo is trying to do.

Use Xiangling and Xingqiu's Burst immediately and keep attacking. Don't use anyone else's Burst since it'll just waste time. Those two are enough. Edit: My bad. I was wrong actually. You do need someone else besides just Xiangling and Xingqiu. Kazuha Burst, Arlecchino, basically any Catalyst... Just a tiny bit more elemental damage.

i used Mualani in the second half, which... wasn't great for Papilla since her application is so slow but i managed to do it just by taking the hit at the end, also she's not great for Aeonblight drake since you have to jump while riding her shark to reach it in mid air, which is kinda funny, but she is probably my strongest single target dps so it still worked out in the end.

You can climb zhongli pillar and hit the boss with your nuevi charge attack on 12-2 but I would advise using your skill with nuevi before doing so also you can hit it with normal attacks from that range as well if it’s close enough go to you on the pillar

The only floor that gave me a hard time was 12-2-2. I've skipped a majority of Natlan units, so my only built units are Xilonen and Kachina. With only them, I couldn't break the Papilla's shield. Ended up realizing that the explosion wouldn't kill me at the very edge of the arena, then killed it pretty easy after. This abyss isn't too hard, just a bit restrictive.

You can use teams with a ton of reactions (xiangling,xinque,any characters who trigger reactions very often,or hyperbloom) to break the shield. Also using ultimate ability "Q" makes you invulnurable for a short time,and I used it to survive boss blowing up. (could not break the shield either)

Tip for the boss with the white bar if you dont have natlan chars...burning is really good to break the white bar also watch out it lounches a oneshot attack if you have no shild or enough hp after the bars destroyed.... hope this helps

I honestly didnt find this abyss too bad, but i did have pretty good characters for it which helped a *lot.* i did Zhongli, Neuvi, Furina, and Jean for 1st and Xilonen, Lyney (c4), Xiangling, and Benny for 2nd half. Xiangling helped a lot to get the papilla boss' shield down, more than xilonen suprisingly just due to xilonen only getting in like 3 nightsoul aligned hits in on a normal team. I found it a pretty fun challenge, but i do 100% get why people do not like this abyss just due to it being a lot more of a roster check. Godspeed to everyone trying to 36 star.

for the wolflord i feel like it’s really easy with scara + yunjin. scara literally flies so he’s able to land basically all of his hits, and yunjin can buff scara’s dmg + using her charged skill will one shot the skulls. saved a lot of time 🔥🔥

Only had issues with the Tenebrous Papilla. Everything else went down no time. Used Neuv team for 1st half and Raiden National for 2nd half of each floor.

wow, you defeated the papilla with the raiden team? i used that team as well, my raiden is c4 and i used yelan who is c2 but still couldn't break the shield and i guess it gets mega resistance when it explodes because i surely could NOT defeat it before the 7 minute mark. i had to switch xiangling for ororon and it was much easier.

5:30 you don't need a natlan character for the shield it's not that tanky. You just require a team that does a high number of elemental hits.

Well, this is my team for floor 12: First Phase: Neuvilette, Furina, Kazuha, Xilonen (All C0) I just got Neuvilette so that's why i really want to use it on Abyss Second Phase: Arlecchino, Yelan, Bennet, Zhongli (All C0 except Bennet C5). Personally, it's pretty easy just like your usual Abyss. Just your usual DPS check, or maybe Artifact check? Since i just brute force all of it on the first attempt and able to do it with so much time left. Maybe it's hard for the "new player" since they don't have much character that invested but isn't that how it always goes? For Papilla Boss i actually just let it blow up rather than try to fill that bar and then do all-out attack after that. It's not smooth and the Boss do it twice (do fill bar stuff), but it still left me a minute. So, i think if you have a very good DPS, i think it's better to let it blow? rather than use everything just to fill the bar (i don't know what it called) with Natlan or Clunky comp. If you afraid the explosion will kill your character i think it's not full map explosion so you can go to the edge of the map far from the BOSS or just tank it with character with huge HP or i frame with Elemental Burst.

@suhaskanuganti7967 I don't know how about the others but at least from my experience when i did it, my zhongli hp around 54K and when it's explode the hp is around 4K so i think the damage is around 50K. At least that how it was from my experience. For the second explosion I'm using with bennet burst at that time.

It's hard because you have to use ororon. The alternative is attempting it 20 times until you get the shield to break within time.

Imo it isn't THAT restrictive, especially when compared to the one with 2 fire lectors or whatever those guys were. At least there are multiple ways for you to bypass the Natlan boss without having Natlan characters (hyperbloom with nahida, taser team, chev overload). The only gripe i have with this abyss is the lava in the 1st chamber 1st half. Add in the wolf lord, and basically, you are FORCED to use Double Hydro - Double Geo first half if you want to have a good time.

I used Navia, Xilonen, Furina and Barbara in the first half Chasca, Bennett, Diona and Fischl in the second half. Worked like a charm... Except... In the first chamber. It was by far the hardest. I had to swap the teams around to three star the first chamber. The other 2 i did them with the original teams.

Burning and C6 Fischl, do ok against Papilla shield since it goes off of individual elemetal hits (not elemental applications like most things do). So character/attack where you get lots and lots of elemental numbers can do ok.

Definitely was more difficult. I think the biggest problem is abyssal boss in chamber 2. Tried with main dps dehya for an overload team and and managed 2 stars there, that team couldn't clear the boss, felt like I needed chasca and ororon. And because of the boss on the other side, replaces furina with Koko for off field hydro so furina could take him out of the skys

After playing the abyss again, I actually don’t mind the papilla, while natlan characters are better, other teams like electrocharged and burning apply enough elements so it does encourage team diversity. I still hate wolf lord though as the ‘difficulty’ of the fight is just dealing with janky hitboxes and stalling

I would try some other character for break this shield thing before thinking about getting Chasca on my main account. In the end. I don't really need to get her to clear this abyss to 36 star it.

Even the Chamber 2 Natlan boss was erased quickly without any Natlan characters. The Tips for Speeding up the first half of the first Room were actually stuff I didn't know, so maybe I can get that last damm Star now. I completed the abyss with Furina, ganyu, kazuha and yun jin in phase 1 and Mono geo with Itto and Chiori in Phase 2. Chamber 2 is annoying if you don't have chasca or any DPS from natlan.

This abyss for me was about par for the course only because I knew how to deal with all the bosses. With my account i can typically get 33 stars and I was able to do it on this round as well. If you don't know the mechanics of the enemies I guess it would be super hard, but if you know how to deal with them, It's pretty whatever XD

I did not manage to break it even with hyperbloom 😭(maybe because only level 80 of half of the characters and underleveled weapons too) ... so I ignored the shield. The ultimate attack can be i-framed, which I did, and nuked the boss even through its resistance and got 3*, but it was tight. So it is possible.

I was definitely struggling on all chambers (specially chamber 2 because I don't have any natlan char yet) but finally got my 9*
