Thank you for being some of the nicest and most genuine CCs in our community. Totally understand the decision to step away from gacha games, I have personally witnessed how people racked up tons of credit card debt in gacha games in an attempt to find some sort of escape from their stressful and mundane lives but by doing so, they find themselves getting trapped in a vicious cycle of staying in a job they hate just to be able to pay off their debts, only to end up racking up more debt when they get too stressed out from their hectic lives and want to find some form of stress relief. And like you mentioned, often times it may not even be the player's fault for getting caught in this mess since gacha games are notoriously infamous for their predatory game design decisions to get players to spend for that dopamine boost.

All the best to you! Unfortunately, gotcha games do be like that! I'd recommend following Darth Microtransactions steps. Started with gotcha games and ended up playing other PC games like Diablo 4 and Path of Exile. Perhaps, that path would work for yous

I have been on the fence about quitting this game for the same reasons. It's actually embarrassing how some people defend the way that gachas are played, it's like an abusive relationship that people are gaslighting themselves into enjoying, and the f2p route although better in this game than others is too painfully slow and shitty compared to spending, and the spending only seems to get worse if you do spend. Great choice and I cherish the videos you did make, hope whatever future endeavors you do are fruitful and bring you happiness! edit: this is also my first and only gacha game. They got me for the same things, the character designs and gameplay was/is so fun. But enough is enough and I deal with various impulsive issues mainly with spending in my life so I feel the same way.

I have been on the fence on retiring as well. The game is honestly great. But I think all gatchas eventually feel like a job or crack dealer. I think the only reason I'm still playing is because my pulls have been bonkers for the last 3 months. I have hit every banner (except Ingrid unfortunately) at a clip of about one lego every 40-50 shards. But I find I am not even using my new heroes to progress in the game. I'm just addicted to ripping shards. Wish you guys the best in your next pursuit.

I've been playing gacha games for 3-4 years and if you don't want to pay, don't pay, it's that simple! I've been playing Watcher of Realms for almost a year now, spending roughly 20 euros and not dying because I couldn't get 1-2 heroes. Its is painfull, but not deadly. You could have made a ,,Free to Play,, channel quite easily, because many people would have been interested, just as many people watch ,,epic challenger,, now! And it all made no sense, because you put a lot of money into it, I think, and it all goes down the drain. You can play gacha games in a fun way without spending money! Even if you make content for KZbin. There are quite a few examples of it! But you know!

Thank yoy for exposing the scam in Arena mode. I will enjoy the game only from a PvE approach, which will end soon. Gacha games are everything you described in this video and more. TLDR Gio still playing the game, J quits not because of the arena drama but because the financial compensation from the contract is over, he's not creatively fulfilled, and gacha game is not his cup of tea because he doesn't want to get addicted. The character design is very good but the game complexity is very low, for example will you pull for a defender when you have Borkkir? Fighters are very similar. Healers except Elowyn. Once you have a few you dont really need to summon as there is no depth to the game. I've quit spending but I do have control and am not addicted so I'm safe from their BS. Also since they hid their summon rates which should be illegal (unknown rates hidden in known rates must be wrong) I just toned down my playing and spending as I'm sure many did. Like your vids and you guys are great, stay strong and use your personalities to talk about games etc. Good luck.
