Ya'll should try a mix n match deer camp, where each kid picks an adults name out of a hat and it can't be their parent. That way the kids might learn different techniques of hunting.

We would always dig a pit put big rocks on the bottom and start a fire. As it burned down to coals we would put a big cast iron Dutch oven filled with homemade chili or soup pit a metal grate on that and put a cast iron frying pan with cornmeal in it. We would soak sweet corn in the husks and place them right on the coals along with whole peppers and onions. The steam from the husks would allow the peppers and onions to cook through without making them just burnt on the outside. We then would slide a piece of steel over the top removing it periodically to stir the chili and turn the corn and other vegetables. When everything was done oh man was it good.

Cassie is so blessed! I loved to hunt when younger and always wanted to go but no one to go with. My ex took me but he did some crazy stuff and I never wanted to go again. I wish I could go with a crowd like all of you but Im too old now being 66 and cant walk too far and now live in fl. But it sure was great seeing all of you together and the ones who got them a deer! Where I live they is no open places like that ever thing that was open timber companies have set it out in pinetrees a lot of land owners have cut all the hardwoods what's left is just a growed up mess that what few deer that's left just stay in it because they is no food in a pine thicket I used to see deer all the time around my little place now I might see 2 or 3 a year glad yall still have places to hunt maybe Hope will get one later on good video

It's really nice seeing kids doing outdoors stuff. Spending time with their Dads. When I was a kid, we didn't have computers. Only computer game was Ping and Pong. Hence we played outside and used our imaginations, creativeness. Technology is a wonderful thing. However, they way kids and even adults are so attached to their phones, computer games. I believe it's detrimental to people is used too much....which it is imo. My brother yells at me.....when I don't answer my cell phone. I tell him when outside working on the homestead or playing with the dogs. I leave my cell phone inside.

I would think a good place to start as for how much water tonadd,,, would be weigh the food before dehydration, see how much weight is lost,,,, it would make sence, that it would equates to how much water by weight you need,,bso do the math water per ounce and add that much as.
