Hearing women complain about no men being available reminds me of when I was a kid and complained that there was no food in the house. There was always food, perfectly good, nutritious food at that. My spoiled ten-year-old self just didn’t want what was there. I wanted the junk food, the fun stuff. They have the same childish, entitled mentality.

Oh I have a story about a womanist getting upset at me when I was 17. I was on a city bus sitting beside and chatting with this sweet old grandma, as the bus got more loaded, I got up to give a 30 or so female in a pant suit my seat, I had barely stood up, when the pant suit girl ripped into me, did I think she was somehow incapable of standing! She hadn’t even finished when I felt a hand grab the back of my jacket and pull me back down in my seat. When pant suit girl finished, more out of shock at what dear old lady did, grandma looked at me and sweetly said very loudly “ that’s ok dear, I don’t want to sit beside a bitc# anyways!”. The bus just broke out in laughter., pant suit girl got off the next stop!

My father got a mail-order bride from his homeland to replace his earlier mail-order bride (my mother, who died bringing one of his kids into the world). My mother had been docile so that's what he came to expect. They had a caste system and his new wife was near the top, while he - and my mom - were near the bottom, if not at the very bottom. Anyway he thought she would help with the house duties and raise his kids for him. After all he was an American now and that's got to be higher than anything in his former country, right? May as well have been a pile of crap asking for this in her eyes. Not only did she not lift a finger, she had his kids, the ones SHE was supposed to raise, serving her. And my father, fearful of western divorce laws, was terrified of doing anything about it. She had actually been tolerable til she found out about the skewed laws, then she became insufferable. Like how people from certain parts of the world avoid certain diseases tied to diet then move to the US and become like everyone else. And what a diet it was! Then, when she had her kid, his earlier kids had to raise THIS one, cause she couldn't be bothered. Then when the kid was a brat, the other KIDS got blamed for it. And STILL, because it was a big deal in his society to be seen as the "head" of the household, he demanded to be treated with respect. But if always fell flat. And anytime she castrated him he'd got after one of his other kids. She knew how to pull his strings so well that, when she wanted to come after one of us, she would jsut get him to do it. Now he gets treated like that racist, mentally retarded uncle no one wants to sit next to at Thanksgiving. Found the parallels to be pertinent. I find it illuminating how much people have to contort themselves to defend marriage these days. As though people's default, their baseline, ISN'T to be self-serving. Maybe you can put it off for SOME time, but not ALL time. The only reason to keep people honest is to keep them guessing. Once you have something you stop working for it.

Artur Markowski It’s good to create connections, to have a network of people who can help you out. The problem is just doing things as a nice guy that people can take advantage of rather then returning the favor. The language that we use when we interact is very important. Rather then saying ‘no problem’ it might be better to say ‘happy to help (a friend).’ Subtlety let people know you are sacrificing time and/or money to help out.

I can explain. Women feel incredibly betrayed if you don't dislike the same people they do. A lot of arguing may occur if you disagree, and usually their reason for disliking said person is over a stupid misunderstanding. In short, battles have to be carefully chosen and planned.

I've experienced it both ways, while being both an attractive and unattractive guy, and there's no way to win. As a reasonably attractive guy, I've noticed that young women will get pissed off at me if I DON'T talk to them. A few years back I gained 30 pounds in a few months rapidly from a health issue. Got bloated and looked horrible. Prior to the weight gain, I would chat with a 23-year old woman in my office. We'd go to lunch, talk about life, text, etc. Totally platonic. Yes, I should have known better. After the weight gain hit, I texted her one night asking how she was doing. She replied that if I didn't leave her alone she was going to report me to HR. Holy crap. Now I'm 50 pounds down and attractive again, and I don't talk to ANY of them unless it's work-related, and they get pissed at me for avoiding them. Nasty comments, nasty looks, I get snapped at, etc. There's no winning.

I was at my sister’s annual Halloween party last weekend. Another family was there. Their daughter is a freshman in college. Formerly cute kid, now had her hair buzzed and green. (Amazing what 2 months of college will do). She’s friends with my nieces who are all older. Walking through the living room I hear her say to them: all men are trash. I stopped and said, oh I don’t know, I’ve known your dad longer than you, he’s a great man. She kind of sputtered and said men her age. I told her her brothers both seemed like fine young men to me….. I just walked through the room, didn’t give a s hit what her reply was. Point made.

I'm a lesbian and oddly enough, this video speaks to my soul. I never related harder to men in my life as I did when I began dating women and being subjected to their treatment of me. They use me, discard me when I'm no longer convenient or when the fantasy of me gives way to the reality (and it's not even character-flaw stuff, just that I'm an imperfect human with imperfect traits), and then wonder why I want nothing to do with them. They complain that they don't think they're needed, but they literally say 'I don't need you' and instead of seeking qualities in another person that make up for their own weaknesses, they embody this nonsense of developing those traits themselves. So they seek to meet their own needs, reject needing others, but then want to be needed. And then they get offended when people think they're ridiculous or hypocritical. Think about it hard enough (and it doesn't take much), and it makes you want to run screaming into freeway traffic.

I myself hardly use social media and am not interested in arguing with someone who posts such simple minded things because, as I'm sure you've seen, they are usually just waiting for someone to argue with them so that they can unleash their spew of toxic venom. They aren't interested in having a conversation. If you don't see things their way then you've clearly been brain-washed by the patriarchy... Too much of an eye roll to waste my time on. Or, "I tried, but I found the whole thing too complicated and exhausting." Or, "I have never found penises worth envying, if that's what you mean." Or, how about, "I would never want to be with a man who would put up with that nonsense." Or, "You know, I think women had a really good deal before the feminists took over." Or, "feminism is a way for ugly women to gain higher status in society. Do I look like an ugly woman?" Or, "After due consideration, I have found feminism an obstacle in my pursuit of happiness." Or how about an honest one, "Not if it means you expect me to pick up half the check." There are any number of better answers than "yes." If a woman considers herself a feminist, there is no reason to take her seriously and it is not worth trying to sift through the conflicting impulses to deprogram her. She is brainwashed and doesn't know how to think. The best thing for her and for you is to abruptly end the conversation and leave. Then, she can consider why that happened and maybe figure out what is wrong, while you continue your search for the needle in the needle stack.

I think there's a difference between opening a door and holding open a door. If I'm walking through a door and someone is behind me, I'll push the door a little and if they can catch it, then they get through. But I don't actually open a door for anyone. Maybe if it was someone who was blind or crippled, but that doesn't happen very often. I actually, and fairly recently, had this chick yell at me for NOT holding open the door for her. She was pushing a baby stroller. She yells, "Couldn't you hold the door for me, M'F'er?" I honestly didn't know she was behind me otherwise I might have held it. I said, "I got eyes in the back of my head? If you wanted me to hold the door, why didn't you ask?" She tells me to "GFY'. I shrugged and went on my merry way. Life is full of such interesting encounters.

Speaking of female dominance and males being insecure, I had a conversation with a woman recently, she started out by asking if I thought she was intimidating, so I told her no, I explained usually when women think that, it's not true, it's rare for a man to be weak or insecure enough to be intimidated by a woman, usually it's that the woman is trying to act too much like a man or aggressive, or acting like an asshole, she took it rather well, didn't freak out on me or anything. She asked if I was married or had a woman, I said no, she then asked "Would you ask me out?" and I told her probably not, she wasn't really my type, she then said "I'm going to die alone" and I said yeah, me, too, 'right there with you.

@@lithead411 Jack Nicholson in As Good as It Gets. I didn't see the movie, it's a romantic comedy anyway, but this one sentence is such a quintessence of describing women as the e^(i*π)+1=0 of mathematics.

Absolutely agree. Its IMPOSSIBLE to navigate through their "mine field" when they're constantly moving the mines around. Too confusing....too frustrating... and too tiring. I also just said "I'm out"...and I'm much happier than I was when I thought I had to side step their mines.

I've encountered these rude women in public many times. Hold the door open as I enter the building, as I would do for anyone following closely behind me, and she doesn't say anything at all and sometimes has a scowled facial expression. If it's a guy following, he usually says "Thanks man", "Thanks bro", or some type of positive acknowledgment. It 's about basic manners!
