For the sword training with Orca, you have to hit him 300 times to get the good prize. The highest number you can get to is 999 and then he stops you and says he lost count. I managed to do that a couple times, just for the hell of it. Couldn't feel my thumb for a while after...

Everything about this game felt so fun for me. charting the islands, getting all the sunken treasures. I love ocean exploration type games. Too bad there arent more of them. Like I love sea of thieves mechanically and visually but the quests are pretty dull and im not a competitive gamer so PvP doesnt really do anything for me and having to fight people off constantly is tiresome. Though I dealt with it initially because my crew was very confrontational they loved sinking everyone we saw.

This is now my favorite Windwaker video; everything about it encapsulates the essence of love I feel for this game. Not everyone encounters the ship by chance, it's actually a rare occurrence. I remember being stuck In this game, endlessly exploring the world. Then coming across that Ghost ship in the ocean, it was such a mystifying experience. What an adventure filled episode!

@@LittleAl016 Considering how ancient Ganon is and how much he has obsessed over the Triforce, I would put his word above the King. The way WW Link is able to use the legendary weapons further suggests he is connected to the Hero of Time because these objects accepted him even though he was not blessed by the gods. And in terms of post-Wind Waker canon (since you mentioned the split timeline which wasn't established until years after), it has been establish that all Zeldas carry the blood of a goddess while all Links carry the spirit of the hero. (It's also worth noting that the Japanese do not see reincarnation quite the same way as we do...)

I remember just stumbling on the ghost ship randomly the first time i played this. One of the best memories of playing this game. It was the most spookiest thing to see the lightning crash down, to see a silhouette of the ghost ship, and then as you approach, you start to here the music; and then it appears.

In the GC version you had a maximum of 200 rupees instead of 500 until you get your first wallet upgrade, you can win a swift sail in the auction which is not only faster but automatically adjusts the wind direction, when damaged in the boat you won't get kicked out of it ever and you can get the colored pictobox on your first visit to Windfall Island if you just do the photo assistent thing with the 3 pictures. Also the Triforce fedge quest was shortened a lot. Ngl as someone who played the shit out of the original it made me kinda mad that they did all those things sure they are good changes but somehow I think it was better back then. It made the game harder.

Ah yes, the cut content portion of the game. There was supposed to be a third dungeon to get Nayru's Pearl, similar to the ones for Din & Farore, but they didn't have time to develop them, so they just forewent that bit of the game and gave you the Pearl after a little bit of traveling. I kind of wish they'd taken some extra time to rework the story to put that third dungeon into the future versions of the game, but I understand why they didn't. 28:00 This and BotW's Beedle makes me wonder if Beedle is, in fact, a separate race of creatures altogether. Just a race of identical beings who just exist to be merchants. It'd make his appearance in BotW, both the fact that he seems to be everywhere and that his appearance is completely different from every other character in the game, make a lot more sense, and is something I kind of hope they touch on in the sequel.

As I said in the first video. This is my recomendation to new Zelda players or for people to get into the series. It doesn't have the epic story of Skyward Sword or the depth of Twilight Princess, but it is the most approachable. Simple enough to understand, teaches you the weird mechanics like going places both day and night, teaches the mechanics the tools use with more obvious places to use them than previous games tended to have, etc. It's not what I expect most to say is the best Zelda game, but it has a lot of character I expect people to at least enjoy for the most part.

What did the King of Red Lions (or "Larry") mean when he said there's no connection between you and the legendary one? Well... to try and not give too much away and remain in the context of Wind Waker, every time you play as Link in the other Zelda games, he's the reincarnated spirit of the hero. Essentially, he's the same Link, over and over. The Wind Waker Link, however, is NOT the reincarnated hero. He's not the chosen one of the Goddesses. As such, he's going to have to prove himself, in time...

Hope they actually told you to get the swift sail in the auction house on Windfall, at night. It makes your boat go twice as fast and the wind will automatically follow your boat to maintain top speed all the time.

Something interesting for you. The first two pearls required an entire dungeon to complete before you could get them, but for this one you didn’t need to do all that much. There’s a lot of evidence in the game to suggest there were originally going to be two additional dungeons, one of them here. Due to time constraints they had to abandon them. Instead they made it so Ganon destroyed this island before you could explore it, a nice workaround. Also the Rito were likely meant to be on greatfish isle and dragonroost was meant to be home to a different species, one that isn’t seen much in the final game. Glad you’re enjoying the game 🎉 Kind of a 👉 SPOILER 👈 (not actual spoilers but it describes some stuff that appears later): For those of you wondering about the other removed dungeon, it was likely in the area that gets unlocked after the Tower, and that area was meant to be much bigger. In the concept art there’s images of game mechanics that would allow you to explore the entire area (no barrier) and you could move between here and the Great Sea (a bit like you can in a Link Between Worlds with Lorule).

Also Nintendo stated that they reussed the ideas of the cancelled dungeon for other Zelda games and from what I can gather everything seem to point that those two dungeons became the Goron's Mine from Twilight Princess and the Ancient Cistern from Skyward Sword.

To beat orca you are going to need a plan of attack. You can't just swing your sword mindlessly at him if you want to beat him. My tried an true method is to hit him about four to eight times and then block. If you bounce off his weapon you have just enough time to block and nothing else. You can also interrupt him with a jump attack but he will speed up the time it takes to hit you again. The counters are not reliable as he is often in bad positions where the counter will not work. Sure it gets you a hit on him but the shield trade technique as I'm now calling it work's far better. Still my fingers always hurt by the end of it and even I get a bit greedy from time to time and lose. Still I have beaten orca one at least five separate occasions with this strategy.
