I would have gotten all the pics I can with the makeup before taking it off. It's obvious that in her culture she upholds the family's wishes in high regard. And they waited to the last minute to communicate this to her??? Is the family against her getting married or what, because this is just cruel? Was the day of the family to join them or the church? Is it the family's wish or the church? Why wasn't this communicated early enough? Where is the groom in all of this? I totally respect her respect for these wishes....whoever made them...but I think they are dwelling on the least of worries. What does the makeup have to do with anything? This reminded me of my cousin's first wedding to a pastor's daughter. I was on her bridal train and I witnessed the father insisting she removed the fixed nails. Gosh she was in pain! She is naturally beautiful. The makeup she had on was not excessive. When I married I knew my church didn’t wear makeup, but brides after me made sure that they were polished with a touch up. In this generation, our elders should be a little lenient with a few dust if powder. This girl will still look beautiful, but some people needs a little cover because of scars.

For me, I'll tell my hubby let's move the wedding to another venue, get a pastor to join us. We move. No one will spoil my best day. Those who are happy with me will celebrate with me as far as say I no match anybody shoe. The only crime you think I committed is applying makeup. The fact that the dad didn't consider the daughter's happiness is the most painful. I know some African parents who can do such. It's so sad.😢😢

She's very beautiful even without makeup (some people are too extreme with the make up till they look weird, just a little is best) the Parents are not necessarily the problem seems it's the "Officiant" conducting the sermony (maybe it's for religious reasons) If her husband to be is paying for the wedding, he has more authority but she's still Governed by her parents till marriage.
