Ulquiorra Vs. Ichigo is probably my favorite fight in all of bleach, and though the ending is undoubtedly sad it's probably one of my favorite moments in the series 🥲

You were right, Ishida did lose his arm in the manga (I can't remember if it was from Ulquiorra or Vasto Lorde Ichigo, but he definitely lost it) The original anime censored a bunch, but the new Bleach anime is scheduled to air at midnight in Japan so no censorship ツ

So it actually wasn’t revealed in either the anime (unless they add it later on) or any of the official manga chapters, but Ulquiorra was born in Hueco Mundo as a Vasto Lorde and never had a life as a human unlike the other Espada as far as we know. He never had a heart, so it makes sense why he’d want to understand what it is.

I don't know if you've noticed, but the creator Tite Kubo really likes the Spanish language, that's why many of the characters' techniques are in Spanish, they also use phrases like *Mala Suerte* = *Bad Luck*

So couple cool things, the form ichigo uses is infact his résurrection. Its the same way the arrancar heal when they unleash there swords. Just like in the previous fights white took over, he even said it "if you want to control this power then dont die before i see you again".

The way I see it, an Arrancar’s resurreccion is basically the same as a shikai/bankai release, drawing forth their soul reaper powers. A resurreccion from a soul reaper is them releasing the full power of their inner hollow.

@@Ciffer-1998 if you’re referring to how he was healed after this fight, it was the regeneration abilities of his inner hollow kicking in. Like Old Man Zangetsu says in the TYBW, the hollow saved Ichigo. I don’t think that exactly means that White was able to regenerate (or that Ichigo specifically has his powers), he just has access to “hollow” powers in general.

:( so you've watched these? Youd know the sonido was explained by a fraccion to Rangiku during Grimmjow's 1st appearance. The 1st time i watched this i was in wtf mode the 2nd (within an hour) i knew it was the hollow within Ichigo's body that took control with "the king and his horse". Also that isnt an arrancar or an Adjuchas level Hollow, that is the 3rd tier a Vasto Lorde if you recall the Hitsugaiya explanation in Orihime's apartment.

I have watched these episodes a dozen times and its not sad its unsatisfying. (Spoilers) The fight post White is far to short as we've seen Ullqiora kick ichigo around almost half the series at this point and in half an episode White puts him down nary a scratch, barehanding a Segunda Etapa Lanca del a Rampago that has the force of a tactical nuke without setting it off whole epic didn't have the appropriate time to simmer, to scare us into the proper holy shiz moment when white basically dispels the attack at point blank range. While it was sweet to watch White return the favor for ichigo being sideswiped I dont feel Ulquiora was hit remotely hard enough (or long enough) to go down Vasto Lorde or not. It took 3-4 episodes for Ichigo to defeat Grimmjow so 15 minutes (seriously half an ep) i felt it was over far to fast.

not really this was foreshadow a while back so it does not count as one and the same goes with every single other one plot armor is when it happen for no reason beside to let the mc survive or win like spoiler alert Mugetsu aka Final Getsuga Tenshou which could be said to be an actual plot armor since it really came out of nowhere unlike with this
