As was the case with 2020, 2024 is also main thread limited even on top end CPUs, and the GPU can improve frame rates to some degree, but unless you are running multiple monitors or high res CR, you really don't need a 4090.

i have the same CPU but only a 4070ti super, on a 1440p OLED, i setted DLLSS to quality and frame generation on, all other settings close to yours and it works very well. I manualy replaced the both DLSS and frame gen files to the last 3.10 version.

Thank you for the post. Have you tried to increase your display resolution to get a better graphic view? I have a 4k monitor, and it makes a massive difference. All you need to do is upgrade your monitor. Your GPU should handle it. It is just a suggestion, but try it and see how it affects your performance and graphics display.

@@dennis.oosthuizen thank you for your comment and suggestion. I’m pretty sure I can increase sliders and even purchase 4K monitor. But I personally do like 2k resolution, for me that’s a sweet spot and I will have always smooth performance and that is what I’m aiming for. However I do appreciate your suggestion

@@RobAirepicflights at 4:59 you have your settings open, and you have dynamic settings enabled, if you click the the drop-down box it has a fps slider.

@@RobAirepicflights You'll find this below "Frame rate limit", you'll see "Dynamic Settings". It's activated within your MSFS2024, but we couldn't see at what frame rate you are limiting ...

If you don't use DSLL or RT and if one only use MSFS2024 + ev photoshop or DaVinci Resolve (as example) AMD Radeon in Raster is undubitably the better price/performance option. RTX 4080Super, 4070 TI Super etc etc cost too much for the same performance. The best value card is probably The RX7800XT, 16 GB VRAM, at presents half the price of a 4080Super. Same apply to CPU. Much better AMD for MSFS.

@@antonioiozzi291 I appreciate your comment but I disagree with you. I would never ever consider AMD gpu even if it was 3x cheaper. Especially not gpu. Nvidia has many benefits over amd card. And I also would not agree with the statement that much better AMD for the MSFS. I’m sorry, no offense at all, I just share my personal opinion and as I said, I have to disagree with you

@@antonioiozzi291 on the other hand I do understand if someone has certain budget but especially when it comes to graphics cards, I would stay away from AMD cards. Never would consider to change nvidia card for AMD cards. But thank you for your comment and for sharing your opinion

especially Not if you are into VR, the AMD GPUs don't have the same VR performance as the 40 series cards. I have a 4060ti (16gb) with a 5800x3d and i am definitely cpu bound in msfs2024 even in VR which is much high resolution than my 3440x1440 100hz monitor.

I have a 32 inch 122 hz 4k monitor. Running at 4k I can tell you that there is NO way you're going to get 100fps. I have an rtx 3090 with 24 gigs of vram. I'm lucky if I get 50fps and it drops to almost half that near large airports. Most of my settings are set to high like yours.

@@eddyg1794 thank you for your comment. Well playing at 4K will definitely affect performance. That id twice as much pixels to process so drop in fps is definitely expected in such scenario. Thank you for sharing

That's why I set it always to 2K: better performance and still excellent quality (rtx 4090, i9 14K). Especially when flying more complex airliners and adding traffic ...
