This recipe is an absolute favorite in my home, and it's no surprise my kids ask for it every day! 🍲 The perfect combination of tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and a creamy, cheesy potato casserole is simply irresistible. With a light, refreshing yogurt sauce on the side, this dish is wholesome, flavorful, and easy to make. A true family classic straight from an old magazine, bringing comfort and joy to every meal. Let’s cook together and make something delicious!
Shopping List for the 1st Recipe:
- 5 medium potatoes
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 3 fluid oz (100 ml) cream
- 3 tbsp flour
- 5 oz (150 g) Emmental cheese
- 1 zucchini
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 chicken fillets
- 5 oz (150 g) mushrooms
- Olive oil
- Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 mini cucumber
- 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley
Shopping List for the 2nd Recipe:
- 8 ounces or 250 grams of penne rigate pasta
- 1 onion
- Olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 7 ounces or 200 grams of champignons
- 14 ounces or 400 grams of ground meat (beef and pork mix)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 tomato
- 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 3 eggs
- 4 ounces or 110 grams of Greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons of Provencal herbs
- 7 ounces or 200 grams of soft cheese
- 1 ounce or 30 grams of Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 Chinese cabbage
- 1 cucumber
- 1 green bell pepper
- 8 to 12 cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion
- 4 ounces or 115 grams of canned corn
- 4 ounces or 115 grams of canned green peas
- Mustard
- Lemon juice

Did anyone notice that one of the eggs has a bit of blood on the side of it? To me, that means that it shouldn't have been added to the mix. That is why eggs should be added to a separate container before adding each one to the bowl that has other ingredients in it.

Eggs with a blood spot are perfectly safe to use, if you want to remove spot with knife tip go ahead. It is a result of the egg laying or ovulati g process. Usually weeded out thru the illuminating inspection. But she used brown eggs which are harder to detect blood spots. FDAsays these eggs are perfectly save. Throw out egg if you are still concerned.
