Fun fact: in lore some Kroots ( *Cough* meatshields for the Tau) tried eating some dead tyranids once... This was a bad idea as they fell deathly ill and/or started mutating.

I think Space Marines just mutate. They can apparently become "gene stealers". It happened to one chapter (not sure if it was consuming tyranid meat or the cult screwing with their geneseed. Despite this, they remained loyal and even sacrificed themselves

Tyranids lack any higher brain function to be "evil". They simply consume....the hive mind on the other hand is apparently pretty evil and a dick

Not all Tyranids bleed acid, it's just one of many things the hive can deploy, usually as a counter to excessive enemy melee units. Most just have whatever the cheapest oxygen carrying metal the hive has to use for blood, iron or copper usually.
