Namjoon is the main songwriter of BTS (credited on more than 80% of BTS discography) and then he has 3 solo albums, RM mixtape (2015), MONO mixtape (2018) and Indigo album (2022), one can't imagine how did he have time to work on so many music. whoa this song goes way back to not long after BTS debuted. 2014-2015 ... he was young where his underground rap years still influenced his music ... as a thumbing of his nose at those who dissed him & fellow member rappers. Since then he has let go of needing to state who he is. Those were hard years of massive dissing on him & BTS in general by Kpoppers & rappers. RM is my bias. I found him during his underground years. Got bootleg competitions vids from overseas friends who were into that scene along with me. If you all are going to do RM in depth don't forget "Fantastic" as many haven't focused on it from his past. It's theme OST for the Marvel blockbuster movie • wasn't allowed in USA for downloads back then. But I got it saved from that past. It's awesome • truly rad. Recently BTS released it on their channel (finally). Be sure to check it out along with "JOKE". Glad you all are checking out this group. Have fun. & I will have fun watching you all react. I like the first mixtape but his most recent one indigo is a much better explanation to who RM is now. He doesn't need to prove himself to anyone now. So i would like to see you guys react to those songs like wild flower, still life (feat Anderson Paak) or if you want to hear english rap from him there is Champion remix with Fall out boy which is an amazing song that come out in 2017 (still one of my favorite collabs from him).

I love that you chose this track... thats pretty cool. Just a heads up. RMs first mixtape "RM" is an actual mixtape... And what I mean by that is the beats are all sampled from other artists. But agust d's and jhope's first mixtapes 'AgustD' and 'hopeworld' are both produced from scratch by them... there is not much sampling going on so its more like albums. Also please remember when people are recommending 'persona'. Intro Persona is part of the bts album Map of the soul 7. And its part of a rapline trilogy. Intro persona by rm Interlude shadow by suga and Outro ego by jhope. If you are doing that do it all together cus all three are based on Jungian psychology and has explanation videos.

the 'friends' thing is a lil... meh, cause namjoon learned english from the show in the same way that a lot of us say we learned it from youtube 😭😭 all korean people study english in school like people in america would study french or spanish or german. they learn the basics, but they're nowhere near conversational & so it's up to the person themselves to immerse in the language enough to become fluent. therefore, when namjoon says he learnt english from 'friends', he basically means that he watched the show all the way through a couple times to help aid his language learning via immersion :p not nearly as shocking as it seems initially lol
