I’ve been seeing a small group of players using Zenitco style parts on theirs. Love to see TM use the AKX tech on an AK105, AKS-74U or AKS74M3 with their take on those parts.

The AKX front rail is similar to the Sureshot Armament one, and is more user friendly than Zentico. So far I’ve changed the spring to a bavtac 115% one, flamingo bucking and jaeger precision hop arm. Also changed the marui stock out for an airsoft artisan mcx style one and put on Fab Defence AGR-47 rubber grips. (The original marui stock has a short pull and the plastic butt slides when you try and lean the rifle up on hard floors)

@ Nice man! Glad you enjoy the ergonomics. I say what I did mainly because in Japan, there is a decently sized Russian player base that replicates ranging from special forces groups to law enforcement. In full gear kits with properly spec airsoft that mimic their real steel counterparts. A lot of those players usually run LCTs, E&Ls, NPOAEGs (hard to acquire due to sanctions since they are Russian made) and TM in AEGs. I love following these groups because while they are def hardcore, they mainly like to show off their kits and then casually play airsoft. 😂

Nice overview video! I really like the look of the modernized AKX, it solves many of the issues I don't like about traditional wood stock AKs. But im ashamed to admit, when I had the choice between getting and AKX or a Saiga 12 SBS - I opted for the weird hybrid that is the SBS. That tri-shot just offered something new and unique enough to be worth it, to add to my MWS without doing more of the same. Damn, this hobby is getting expensive now I think about it 😅

honestly theyre different tastes. I have the Storm myself and its great for full auto fun and just throwing the thing around with AEG consistency, but the AKX GBBR is just more of a fun thing and great for CQB.

Yeah boi I love mine. About to order a new recoil spring and heavyweight buffer to prepare for summer. For the hop I recommend being in Japan and all using a Mr hop bucking 60° and it should get you easily to 30m for outside in Japan. (Or modify x-range if you want to go really far) Personally I want to make this little monster shoot even further to about 50m which means tinkering around a bit more. 😁

I've got it a month ago and it's my first airsoft replica. Gotta say I love it. Only thing that surprised me is the gas efficiency, but that might be me doing something wrong. I've heard everywhere that the AKX (and TM's in general) are relatively efficient with gas, but when I fill a mag up it just seems to keep taking more and more gas, to the point that I'm filling it for about almost half a minute or so. And then I can empty a single mag, maybe barely one and a half on 1 fill of gas. I've watched tons of video's on how to fill gbb mags but doesn't seem to work out for me... :( Love everything else about it but I'm actually considering buying an AEG for everyday shooting at home and just save the AKX for when I'm going out for a skirm...

Sounds like you have no gas, or youre using green gas? Usually Marui magazines will hiss and spurt when full

@MaydaysanAirsoft i have used several. Nuprol 1.0 and 2.0 and Swiss Arms 130 PSI no silicone. I have ordered the ultrair brown with no silicone to try that. My mags start hissing after a few seconds but then I can't even finish half a mag. And after they start hissing, when I stop and start filling again I can again fill for a few seconds before they start hissing again. So basically I am filling in cycles of about 7 seconds each and after about 5 cycles they start hissing right away when I try to fill them more. Then I know they are full and I can shoot like I said, about 1,5 mag before the gun starts slowing down and shoot sluggish again.

I’ve had this problem before, I’ve fixed it by first buying a small scale, that way you can ensure that it’s actually holding gas, after that you’ll learn that you have to put gas in the mag in spurts and not one go, and you’ll gradually feel the mag getting cold, that’s another sign that it’s filling correctly, if you have the scale weigh it and it will confirm that it’s receiving gas because it will weigh more. Also if it’s refusing to take gas, put silicone oil on the fill valve and let it soak in 1 drop, because sometimes the o rings reject the air from the nozel
