Make sure you're air/fuel mixture is correct after doing this. You very well may need to adjust your jetting in the carburetor to compensate for the difference in flow.

you should have marked the pipe before you took it out so you could get an exact New Market where you going to cut it and where the end of it is and make sure you get enough pipe in your new exhaust otherwise you end up with leeks

I wold have simply placed the mufflers side by side and lined up the mounting flanges (on the mufflers). That would show you where the old exhaust pipe had to be cut. Nice vid though. thanks. Also I noticed you held the phone at a different distance for the before and after. The decibel reading is a lot like light meters and earthquake scales in that an inch does make a difference. Just wondering how it sounded to your ear after using it in the real world?

Can the OEM muffler be packed? Mine was rattling and I cut the end off and found one of the long tubes was just loose in there. Omitting it from reinstalling will he exhaust be much louder? Can the thing be packed with that fiberglsss stuff vs. The baffles that are inside?

Does the glass pack material blow out the muffler when it goes bad? I have 2000 Foreman 450 ES and it been backfiring and blew out some glass pack material ?

I would say yes, they fall apart from the inside out

Backfire is NOT because your muffler is bad. It's usually from a lean fuel mixture. Check your carb out.

@@bryantjones8039 mbrp 1888 636 7223. Also on the web. Mbrp.com. I run them on my snowmobile and two of my atvs. Nice thing about them is you don’t have to repack them. Like some other brands. They also do exhaust for trucks and cars.

that is the case with installing any aftermarket pipe on Factory must be cut I don't know how familiar you are with bikes I've worked on them for 30 years the only way you do not have to cut the original Muffler is if you buy the muffler and the header pipe together then you unbolt your existing exhaust pipe and bolt in your new exhaust pipe and they connect slip-on with a clamp

I have a 1996 Honda fourtrax 300 thAt didn’t have a muffler and I bought a slip on muffler off eBay for 95 bucks and it made it 3 times quieter than that one did
