That is the Princess Louisa Inlet and the Malibu summer camp. This was my first west coast experience. I spent a week in this area. Went up to chatterbox falls. Absolutely fell in love with everything!

If you are interested in exploring that area of BC, look up an old book, Titled: "The Curve Of Time," by Blanchet. Widowed, in 1927, she took her children, and her boat and explored that area. She describes it well, including half the year Indian villages, with long houses, and other structures of interest. Be a nice contrast between then, and now.

It was unbelievable to run into you and Captain John at Chatterbox last weekend, this video lit the match to us buying a sailboat and exploring Princess Louisa Inlet. It was a big surprise to watch SV Porpoise anchor right next to us at Chatterbox Falls. We actually ran into John again a couple days later and got a boat tour! Great job on your films, they're epic. Cheers.

Found my way here via the Pure Living for Life timber frame video. Great film work there and the snow just made it magical. This video was excellent as well. Subscribed.

Beautiful footage of one of my favorite places too! I sailed there on my own 31’ sailboat more than 10 years ago and have been itching to go back! I love the drone footage too but thought it would be risky from a moving boat - launching would be ok but recovering the drone while moving, with the dynamic wind field around the sails, not to mention obstructions like stays and sails and masts would make recovery of the drone difficult. Glad to have stumbled across your channel, for once the You Tube algorithm sent me something worth while!

Hey Levi, I would absolutely be interested. My wife, son and I recently moved from Seattle to Idaho and there's so much to capture - backcountry riding, lightweight backpacking, flyfishing... not sure that qualifies as Adventure but you've been a big inspiration to me this year. I basically blame you spending thousands of bucks on GH5/lenses this year (OK that's my story and I'm sticking to it). No really, love it and use it every day. Also, Sara my wife is always raving about Malibu and would be great to see it in person! - Scott

Outstanding video! Your drone footage is spectacular. Can you answer a question by chance? What are you using for a microphone and wind screen? No wind noise! Fantastic audio for outdoor work.

Leftcoast I just finished watching it! Your drone footage was insane! If I’m being truthful is a little bittersweet seeing it come to an end. That trip kicked me in a new direction and opened up a door that has allowed me to work for shelter full time. The style of editing was very true to form of their videos and it was awesome, but there is a part of me that wouldn’t mind seeing what your artistic/cinematographic editing style could have done with it. However, I’m sure it is incredibly difficult to edit footage you didn’t shoot, so I give Alyssa mad props.

Definitely interested in an adventure filmmaking workshop. I’m just getting into filmmaking and want to learn more about shot planning and time management while you’re still on an adventure and trying to enjoy your surroundings. I’m in Vancouver and am comfortable sailing so that trip plan sounds amazing.

Hi Levi, do you film all your drone footage at 4k24p? Thanks
@Levi_Allen7 жыл бұрын
Nope. Mostly 4k60p

Thanks for verifying. Then you conform that to a 24p timeline I'm assuming (slow down)?

That is not the way to secure a line to a tree using a bowline. We'll have to call that a "Left Coast" bowline... but at least you got that Tilley going on! :) Appreciate your channel. If I can ever get my hiking videos to look half as good as your videos, while carrying a lot less gear, I'll be good to go.
