Some thoughts: 1) research fasting. You don't actually need to fear going without food for extended periods of time - after your body adjusts to it you'll even have abundant energy. When you said you felt like laying down and would call the trip off if you didn't catch fish I was thinking you'd benefit from that knowledge so you wouldn't fear - just rest for a few days and you'd be fine. 2) the fish can probably hear you yelling and talking, wouldn't it be better to fish silently and stealthily? Especially way up north where the fish and other wildlife aren't accustomed to humans. 3) awesome raft, I want one! 4) it seems like nature gets more epic and majestic the further north - I remember driving through BC and Alberta and being soooo amazed! I'm kinda jealous, I'd love to travel way way up there. 5) you're wiser than you realize admitting your own mind is your greatest fear. 6) really enjoyed watching this, good job, I am always impressed with the patience it must take to create these projects doing everything twice etc :)

Levi, this is a masterpiece. I have been watching your videos for years, and this is the best one I have seen-not just from you, but from others on KZbin as well. Amazing work! The story, imagery, sound design, and intro (which I watched twice) are all exceptional, and even the thumbnail stands out. I applaud you. I truly hope this video performs well; it can be disheartening when our best work doesn't succeed on KZbin. I hope that does not happen, but if by any chance it does, remember that we, your loyal audience, appreciate your work, and I definitely consider this your best work.

But, I didn't go out into the wilds and expect myself to set up camp, build a fire... to say nothing of the endless hours of paddling... Much respect, man... Exquisite shots of the wilderness up there. Thank you - This video is as close as I'll ever get to it myself. 👍👍

This video is incredible! The production quality is top-notch, and the adventure is truly epic. I really appreciate you putting this together. I’m excited for two reasons: first, content like this is so rare on KZbin these days, with most of it being short clips, but this feels like it belongs on Netflix. Second, the adventure itself is something every guy dreams of experiencing. Outstanding work, brother! 👊 As for your course, I’m sure it’s great. Congratulations man. Really fantastic film. The shots were beautiful, the coverage you got while traveling/fishing was impressive, but the tension you were able to create... man... every time the music dipped I thought you were going to catch a fish. It sounds silly but I really was on the edge of my seat. Well done. This edit must have been a bear (I can totally empathize as I am currently sitting on at least 5 trips of footage that I haven't even touched!), but hope you feel it was worth it in the end because man, what a beautiful achievement. Cheers.

I am having a hard time forming the words to explain how much I love this. But I do. So very much. Well filmed, beautiful scenery and relevant to someone who has been & still is somewhat, afraid of the dark. But I loved everything about this. Your honesty and your fishing and joy with catching your fish. I take my Great Dane/Mastiff cross into the woods around the Kootenays. But I know I'll have to lay in a tent in the dark sooner rather than later. And when I do, I hope to stay as centered and realistic as you were. Thanks for making, arranging, editing, and posting this!

Amazing job Levi! Beautiful video, awesome message at the end, and so impressed that you filmed all this alone, while hungry and getting swarmed by bugs! How did you enjoy learning to fly fish? After growing up learning to fish with a 'conventional' spin rod, I spent 30 days mountaineering in the wilderness with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and learned to fly fish in the mountains of Wyoming. This video brought back some of those fond memories! Thanks for sharing these awesome stories with us!

Loved the whole thing, but the cinematography was next level. As a lifelong fly fisherman, the story about needing to catch a fish so that you could eat really resonated with me, it made the adventure even better to follow. I like to cook those little guys whole, the meat falls off the bone and you don’t lose anything while filleting , but I do like what you did there. Great video.

I have been camping in the wilderness all my life, I’ve travelled to so many places, train hopping, hitchhiking, biking, motorcycling, driving… I have slept on rooftops and parks in Vancouver, San Francisco, NYC. I lived in a cabin in the Yukon, in Quebec, in Wyoming. Picked fruits in New Zealand, worked as a rock sculptor in Paris, been a truck driver in a Pete 389 cross border in North America, helped as a sound engineer in different venues… i’ve done so much and the outdoor always has been my favourite. I always find myself coming back to wanting to go on a 2 week canoe trip or on a sled dog adventure. I loved it deeply. And sometimes I watch KZbin and I see so many KZbinrs nowadays getting out there and filming themselves. They get hundred thousands of followers. They get there with over 20k of gear fitting in a backpack. Make great cinematic short film and put dedication into this lifestyle. And I admire that but more than 50% of the time, I unfortunately find it cringe, or sad in a way… I never tell anyone what to do, i’ve met so many different people and i’ve been in so many situations and felt lots of different emotions all my life. I rarely find stuff cringe. I just don’t give a f usually. But yeah man these KZbinrs nowadays lol haha yeah sometimes that’s cringe. Felt like I needed to say that. But in the end I don’t care. It feels weird thinking that I could have filmed all my life and adventures and put it on KZbin and I probably would be a millionaire…but I would have never had all that great free time and amazing life that I lived. Just cause I’d be busy editing, promoting, planning, working, caring, spending and yeah to each their own. So I suggest to the viewer, try to go out a bit much and enjoy, don’t just watch videos, go do it. That’s a suggestion. Good night
