Hi Sota Altra have come to the market with a 4mm drop shoe line, the FWD line all have a 4mm drop maybe worth a look if you like the fit of Altra I love my Altras strictly only running Altras, have only ever run in Altra’s so I think my Achilles are bulletproof now haha

I actually tried the FWD Experience when it first came out, but I kept slipping out the heel, so I'm hoping the other shoes with drops are better - I might have to try them! Good to hear another person who loves Altras! I just walk around in my Escalantes

Just came off a trail earlier, I use Altra, zero drop, achilles is fine, but I realised I'm such a heel striker that I go into a negative drop on impact. Altra's foams aren't the most responsive, and I seem to really sit into a deep, stiff position - puts a lot of load on the soleus in the stretched position going uphill.
