THAT was a steal!
@sanchezsantiago1418 күн бұрын
@ best deal I have ever gotten on a firearm purchase, the pawn shop did not realize the type of light that was on it due to the previous owner wrapping the gun in a camo adhesive and it covered the light as well. Even looked up the serial number through beretta and found out the shotgun was made early 2024 so still basically new. Got to try it out and really like it. Only gripe with it thus far is the tube at the end as well as the mlock tube holder are polymer and my flashlight shifts around under full power loads. I ordered an aluminum one from GG&G that will remedy that but still have not had a chance to try it out.

The mod 2 is PHENOMENAL ❤ If you're thinking about a 1301, look into the mod 2. It added a few things that made it pretty great for handling. I modded mine with the kickstop, buck kicker choke, holosun red dot, 1k lumen flashlight and pressure pad (because its probably getting play at night and anyone who makes it to the "find out" part of that show is gonna see 2 bright lights), and shotgun card mounts for convenient loading from either side. And the wide feed ramp is SOOOOO smooth for fast loading. She doesnt care what you feed her. She'll shoot it 😂 Edit: ONE bit of advice!! Have heat rated gloves if you're planning to do rapid fire drills or using it continuously for awhile. She gets HOT and there's not a lot of safe grip for bare hands once she does. 🔥🖐

I watched again because I love Beretta shotguns. The original Beretta 1300 is my favorite, because it became so reliable and the choke system just worked. The "improved" gas system on the 1301 looks interesting. Long story : I worked at Kmart for years from 1987 - 1996. Half of that time in the "sporting goods" department. I logged in and / or sold at least 200 rifles and shotguns (this was just after the "incident" that led major retailers to stop selling handguns. Tho that handgun had been sold by Walmart, Sears and Kmart... joined in eliminating that "liability"), and we had a Beretta 1300 standard hunting shotgun on the books for over 5 years of the time I spent filling in or working in sporting goods. The 1300 had come all the back to us from Beretta in Italy, due to a customer return for a "defect". My sporting goods manager at the time (who also taught me how to properly tie my tie) understood the complaint and repair, but I never really understood it and can't remember it now. That (fairly expensive in our stock) shotgun stayed in the "gun vault" (secure back stock) for 3 years after I first saw it. Our store was remodeled in the early mid-1990's and sporting goods was moved, getting a large glass case to display and store "secure" items like rifles and knives. I finally got to assemble that Beretta shotgun and put it on display. For over a year it sat out on display, only once getting interest. After I moved on to "home improvement" department manager, someone finally put that Beretta on "Lay A Way". They never finished paying for it, and one day when the sporting goods manager was off, our security manager had me help pull all the "dead" (unpaid) Lay A Way tags on items secured in electronics and sporting goods. I was sad and intrigued that the Beretta had not been picked up. It sat back in the "vault" for almost another 18 months, till *I* put it on Lay A Way using an added "discount" we got as part of "Employee shopping night for Christmas" (which used to be a bigger deal, before most of the "perks" were eliminated for our "everyday 10% discount"). I left Kmart before my payments on that Lay A Way were finished - so I also never paid for it or took it home, lol. As I recall that shotgun stayed locked up in the back stock gun vault for another 3 years or more, till it was shipped out with every remaining rifle and shotgun when Kmart stopped selling all firearms. If I recall how long that particular Beretta 1300 had been in inventory before it was "repaired", and add all the years I saw it - it had been in the building for nearly twice as long as I had... (Shamefully Kmart and Sears merged, both driven into the ground, for the profit of the CEO. My store was closed over a decade ago. Finall partly "refurbished" or a new business, partly torn down, about 6 years ago. It had been built in 1979 for a different company, before Kmart bought and "converted" it sometime in the early 1980's. We had once been the largest retail store in Central Winter Park, (or "West" Winter Park), and a good part of the community - all destroyed by the greed of one man (of course no one bought the store and reopened as some other retailer - the "death of brick and mortar" retail did not start overnight, nor recently).

@DeezyPАй бұрын
@@SDGLFDNCWhat made you decide to go with the A300 instead of the 1301? Been looking at both so I'm genuinely curious.
@SDGLFDNCАй бұрын
@ the price truthfully. I had a 1301, but had to sell it to buy things like food and gas. I was in the market when the gen 2 came out, and I paid roughly a grand for my A300. It’s a bit lighter, still gas operated, 7+1, all the stuff on the original 1301 with a new handguard. Things I like- It’s fast and light. The recoil isn’t bad if you use the push/pull technique. It’s in the same weight neighborhood as the 1301. Still gas operated, but an older action type. Eats everything from low to high brass. Old low velocity stuff to the spicy stuff mixed with no issues. I like the short LOP from the factory, but it comes with extensions. It also comes with the optima choke. The mag port is beveled wider and the lifter is slightly shorter than the 1301, which has given me less thumb bite. I might put a different lifter in there though. Things I don’t like- The hand guard grip is too aggressive, but a light sanding fixes that. The barrel clamp is plastic, it should be aluminum. You can get one, but I tossed mine. Still able to mount a qd sling. They put the back qd mount on the bottom of the gun. I moved it to the side, but it was a weird placement. It’s easy to take apart, but getting it back together is a bit slower; it won’t go together unless everything is exactly where it needs to be. Overall, I like my A300 (patrol) more than my 1301 because I got as good a quality for a better price. You wouldn’t go wrong with either one, but I just felt better about my A300 purchase. I’d say that if you come across either one and you can get it, get it. Neither one will sit around too long so don’t sleep on it if you can get it.
@SDGLFDNCАй бұрын

Perfect timing! I was looking at reviews of the 1301 today only. I'll be picking one of these up soon. I was already leaning towards the 1301 over the M4. You helped seal the deal.

I just picked up the Mod 2 version and it truly is a fantastic shotgun. So much fun to shoot and it will shoot just about any ammo you feed it.
