Love this deck. I definitely did not have as much success with the original version of this deck mainly because of the reasons you pointed out. Teferi isn't doing much in a BO1 format. Removed Teferi, Dissipate and a single temp lock down. Added more emperors, a Sunfall and a single quick study and it's been pretty fantastic so far.

What Teferi does is gain 2 life a turn and untap a big Sunfall token. I just had a game where I was down to 3, played Teferi (with Get Lost backup), and proceded to gain 6 life, stabilize, and win. Not saying it deserves to be there but I've liked it thus far. I can totally see swapping it for an Emperor or a Sunfall as you did.

Teferi is good and usefull but definitely slow, 1 is good enough but having zurgo means you have to have less PWs, the number of sweepers is already low

I have a similar list of yours. I use 2x zurgo 2x jace as finishers… still debating about the 2x jace… maybe different PW would be better (like eternal wanderer)

My deck is very poor against control decks. I put it together to be effective against red aggros and other decks that are popular in the meta, and it performs really good in that context. The only regret is that I didn't even notice who I was playing against :D

I played this last season without Helix. I found putting a +1/+1 counter on Zurgo provided a increase in the clock from 5 hits to 4, plus I found 2 caverns of souls on Dragon or Orc were a nice addition - not sure if they work with helix.

The deck looks fine, I'm experitmenting with jeskai myself atm. Started before murders to burn down the house :-) Now I play lightning helix AND sunset revalry. If you manage to gain 4 life, create 2 chumpers and draw a card, it's pretty nice for a single card :D You can't have enough cheap life gain in my opinion :D Meta's like hell, it's not even fun anymore, but I can't stop playing anyways

Yes! So glad to see Zurgo & Ojutai make a return - I've been running a deck built around this since its release (been a favourite). Since Lightning Helix came into standard it has become a decentlt competitive deck for the meta. Must say though that the Manaform Hellkite dragon is actually better for Jeskai from my experience - with some of X mana cards available it slaps in standard.

The only weakness I see in this is missing cavern of souls. Zurgo is your wincon and its the only creature.

This deck is the sauce. The feeling of playing the dragon like twice and taking back to hand then third attack leave it there and they play ossification or other exile enchantment/artifact (take your pick of like 7 different types) then I get to play farewell get my haste dragon back it almost always makes them scoop

This deck is so much fun... adds flexibility and spice to U/W control and I never feel out of answers. The combo of Get Lost, March, and Helix give you plenty of outs to draw. Truly a masterpiece.

Idk why they keep calling it Jeskai when this color combo is clearly Merican. It remove threats with 'proportional' responses, keeps a material advantage at all times, and then finally shoots the opponent in the face (with burn spells) once it has them cornered.

Let me inform y'all....M%G Arena is Not MTG ....the "shuffler" forces games to win or loose ....i can tell when im going to get a forced loss, or a dominant win....i mainly Play the actual cards...my friends hate Playing me in paper...on Arena its way toooooo aggravating to get stuck with 2 lands and have gone through 8 Draw cycles...while the other player fills the board with all the perfect cards...rigged garbage...i have never shuffled this poorly while playing cards ...i have 26 lands In a 60 card deck on Arena...if i go to 27 lands, then land is all i get, and still its either perfect win or 2 lands forced loss.... Please do Not use Arena As A Gauge of if you are a good Deck Builder
