Dude, that first game are what you dream of playing when you get on arena, holy moly! Only had a handful that good, but the highlight has to be playing my boros mentor deck when Lurrus came into the game, replaying Alseid of Life's Bounty from my graveyard something like 46 turns in a row to block an Ajani's Pridemate that was approaching triple figures, whilst somehow top decking every creature in my deck to block a second. Half a dozen cards left in my library, I find the second Alseid, sacrifice both to give a Swiftblade Vindicator at 44/44 protection from black, then from white, and finally swing for lethal after 2+ hours of grinding. Villains deck had tonnes of lifegain and card draw, some protection spells, but apparantly nothing to deal with a fairly ordinary boros deck. Best win of my career that!

First opponent mad a huge blunder with that double block... the "Good Game" thinking they had the win in the bag was priceless.

I don't think it was a blunder and I don't think they assumed they won with the GG. If anything, they might have mistakenly thought they were dead? It's not clear the double block was a mistake either. If they don't do it, then they can't really attack for anything but lethal because of Elias draining them when LVD chumps. Even if they just block with one and LVD doesn't get the triggers from Phantom, they still don't have lethal on board (I believe they're 1 short). If they topdeck removal, then they win either way. Getting rid of Elias at least gives them more of a chance to last through another 2 attack steps.

I just won a game with this deck by getting Amalia to 20/20. I had forgotten she had that text on her, so I was a little surprised when everything on the field, except her, died :D

This has been my favorite archetype. Can't wait to watch the video. The best part is there are tons of alternatives you can play around with as well. Some of my favorites: Resplendent Angel, Extraction Specalist, Gix-Yawgmoth Preator, delany/Throne for the truly explosive turns and my favorite card I've played with - Kaylas Reconstituion. Case is also insane MVP that lets you possibly come back against non-farewell sweepers. It's still a sort of brutal matchup but just a tad less. The biggest pain unfortunately is the lack of fast lands with multiple various 1/2 drops with such high color requirements. 8-12 one drops that need W. But Amelia/Elas wants specifically BW while voice wants WW means any tapped lands has been pretty frustrating but you have to have them in the deck.

I feel like 4 Toshiro sagas makes sense considering the huge presence of Boros, which that hits numerous cards in, plus the bats which are also everywhere. It can also buff lifelinkers to help you hit harder and gain life, or just gain you life if thats what you need.

I built a deck a couple weeks ago similar to this. My biggest differences are that I use Extraction Specialist and Steel Seraph. I also kept flooding so I went to 20 lands.

Needs Roaming Throne imo, I'd cut 2 Gumdrops and an Amalia to squeeze 3 in. It's great for ramping your Voices up quickly after a board wipe since 1 Lunarch Veteran/Elas Il-Kor + 1 Throne (Cleric) = 4 counters on Voices Of The Blessed per creature that enters the battlefield (Veteran/Elas triggers twice and Voices triggers twice for each time that they trigger). In this particular deck it also beefs up Preacher Of The Schism which means more creature tokens/card draws which means more triggers for the Voices combo. Clerics are great fun. The synergy between the Voices combo and the Case Of The Uneaten feast is incredible, you can let your opponent chew through all your cheap creature spells - Voices included - then just bring them all back at once for exponentially more +1 +1 counters than you previously had at any point in the game.

My most delicious lifegain in standard is Mardu. Why stop at 4 mana when you can have Aclazotz, Gix's Command and double kicked Archangel of Wrath as well? Take my cake and eat it too!

Agreed, though in my experience she often ends up as more of a minesweeper for your opponent's removal spells - which isn't necessarily a bad thing depending on the matchup but it does limit your options a bit. Throne costs 1 more but is much less effort to keep on the board. That said the secondary effect of letting your little guys sneak damage through is a nice little bonus and Throne can't offer that, I tend towards 1 Delney and 3 Thrones at the moment in my Voices deck.

@LegenVD yea with amalia and voice its a nonbo although with correct order of play you can get double triggers. The payoffs however with bat, schism, lunarch veteran,restless fortress and elas kor are really satisfying. Delney into bat is backbreaking. The turbo lifegain if it sticks makes for a very satisfying deck. Tomik absolutely breaks the so present boros convoke lists, gix adds some more gas if youre up against alot of sweepers to stock up your hand, your small flyers cant be blocked which is nice for Gix. Just some food for thought

I'd prefer Sheoldred, Gix, or Virtue of Persistence instead of the Wandering Emperors. They're all fine cards but I find Emperor to be a little underwhelming at 4 mana. Great video as usual, though; I always especially like your deck techs.

The mana is a little rough for those double black cards, so that's why I went with Emperor.

The deck has some pretty intense color requirements, part of why I didn’t include Sheoldred since double black can be tricky to achieve early. With Case it’s useful to have a lot of mana available.

This deck is good against every aggro or creature based deck. The issue is that azorius control demolishes this deck with ease. The metagame seems to be just UW control all the way. I love the deck, but it's so anoying to get paired 6 times in a row against UW

Ah yes, the mono red matchup that was "somehow" eluding you. Just Arena's flawless matchmaking, play 90% matches against mono red, switch to the one deck that dumpsters mono red, suddenly play 10% matches against mono red
