I'm actually surprised you kept working on Build The Earth this long. I knew it was too much to handle from the start, but having a person leading this whole operation for so long is insane. You have done enough, let the others take over from here. You deserve a break, sparsely for starting a project this large.
@TheMemeRepository6 ай бұрын
This always felt like a "passing the torch" sort of project anyway, and five years is stupendous given the colossal nature of it all. Some of us are meant to create, but weren't born to lead, and that's okay. And you will always be the creator, even if you can't be the shepherd.

Man that is so true. Founders/creator's/ideamen often struggle to lead but they get stuff started and off the ground that otherwise wouldn't be. And we would continue to do things the same old way instead of trying to implement something new And good leaders minimize risk so they often just seek out established organizations and positions. When the creatives and the practical people get together that's when the real magic happens

I've always tuned in for your personality, lol. 1) Minecraft can be brutal when you're nose-to-the-grindstone on one thing. Most players enjoy playing for a while, leaving, then coming back. 2) I like to build, but for some reason I just don't like building in creative. Excepting the convenience for small parts of a design, building a block palette, etc. I just enjoy doing it in survival more. I think one reason is, you have to step away from the build to go get more resources, in-game food, repair tools, whatever. I forces variety on your gameplay.

pippen if you read this, i have a message for you. this video does a great job of providing an insight into your ideas, your involvement in bte and personal life. i could write a lot about how you made a great decision, how you are a positive influence, but there will be a lot of people who will say this in a more profound way. what i hope you consider is actually tapping into other hobbies you have. you mentioned your passion for music, for example. it seems like your problem with the music industry is that there is not much money to be made in it and possibly other predatory practices of the mainstream landscape (you didnt mention it but i just assumed). i hope you have not quit music entirely. what ive learned from making music myself and exploring other lesser known genres and artists is that there is another layer of musicians who dont do it with intentions of mainstream success, not neccessarily as some sort of a statement. these people make and share music to express their passion and creativity. those communities are incredibly selfless by not "selling out" to popular trends and movements and i think your personality, what with your passion, dedication and willingness to go for absurdly ambitious projects would fit perfectly in there. sure, there are hazards of watching out for content thieves and other stuff, but it is worth it. i hope that you are still continuing your journey in music, even if not attached to PippenFTS, youre incredibly welcome wherever you shall see fit. and you can get some more support from your fans if you choose to go public with it. have a great day man.

WHY is every youtuber making a video with this title in the same year? I do think this is an important message regarding self employment or having a buisness. Its a lot of risk, a lot of expirementation, to find out what works for oneself and what works most effeciently. Do what you truly wish to do, man! Don't waste your years entirely devoted to something you don't want to do, even if it got the views and sounded cool. Though I just hope the project won't start falling apart without you at the helm anymore, and that you'll at least keep some door open so that IF you ever decide you want to return to having involvement in this project you started, you can, you're not locked out, even if you will never actually want to do that. Because I've seen that happen before, more than once, a creator ending up ousted and estranged from their own creation as other people now in control of it run the vision into the ground to its ruin while the original visionary is powerless to stop it, which would be so tragic if it were to somehow happen with this. But hopefully that won't happen, and you are free to do whatever you ACTUALLY want to do with your life that gives you joy without having to worry or regret things. That 5 years is 1/16th of life figure you brought up is especially haunting, that...I don't want to think about that...man...

It’s funny cos I came for build the earth at the start, but I was very intrigued by your BTE videos and ur personality, especially how you would get distracted and sidetrack completely into history and stuff loool (it was very relatable). I was also in vc once with you when u were doing your “walking to the border” challenge in the nether. I remember thinking you were cheating because you didn’t respond; only for you to reply saying u had a paperweight on the key to move forward. I only remember that cos when you typed that I just had this vibe of you being genuine and putting effort in, but also at the same time feeling like you wanted to be somewhere else. Tbh the situation itself kinda says that: you left mc on stream for people to watch, while you were away from the computer. Yeah honestly good decision bro. I would recommend looking to religion (ik completely off the main point but) because my religion I’ve found has given me purpose that I can always turn back to, wether I’m depressed or really happy. I won’t say to join my religion immediately because I’d rather you look through all of them and decide which one makes the most sense to you. Having said that though, majority of cases end up with people converting to the religion i follow. For the same reason as you: sometimes they feel devoid of purpose or just really low and contemplating death and what they’ve achieved of their life. And the religion they end up finding the most sensible is the same as the religion I follow; and that is Islam.

Rest assured, you've got at least one subscriber here who is still going to look forward to your videos, no matter where you take them. Good luck! ...Also I think it's a credit to how much your community cares about you personally that a good chunk of the comments is like "Oh, phew, I was worried something bad happened to you *personally.* You're physically fine and making more varied content? I'm just glad you finally went ahead and chose to discontinue what you've hated doing for so long. Self-harm is not a good thing, even in this way. So for what it's worth, Pippen, I hope you continue doing the stuff you truly love doing instead. Build the Earth will live on trough other people who are more passionate about that type of project, it's no big deal for us, but we're glad that you've chosen to neglect this hate-type relationship you've had with this project yourself. Passion is of course important, but overworking oneself and feeling the need to be someone you're not or do something you don't really like... That is not good. So do what you love to do, not what you hate.
