I use the Alphard conversion cart. Wide wheel base, easy to assemble when you pull it out of your trunk in the parking lot. Battery life is at least 32 holes, maybe more (never played more than 27 on a charge). The wheel base and the cart you buy to convert costs a total of around $900. Very nice set up and the price is unbeatable. Great on course performance, it goes everywhere with ease and the three wheel set up allows for very easy navigation and control.

LOL, when you talked about the stability of the MGI Zip Navigator and how you've never tipped it over. LOL, I've got one that is going on 4 years old, and I've lost count of the number of times I've dumped it. Up steep hills, hitting the wood on bridges on the course, rocky terrain, or even sprinkler heads in the middle of fairways, all has a tendency to make it potentially tip over. I've learned over the years how to maneuver it to keep it from tipping over. Oh, and if you aren't paying close enough attention, and are trying to go around a bunker, I've had no problem dumping the cart into a bunker and my bag, clubs, and everything else ended up all over the bunker. Good times.

@@LetsPlayThru Mine does (Zip Navigator AT) and yep, she tips if you're not watching carefully. Usually in the transition from fairway to cart path, etc. I still love it but they DO tip from time to time if your not watching and adjusting. Oh yeah, that cup holder sucks, breaks pretty quickly. Found the clip accessory to be better and hang a handled waterbottle from there, much better than the unreliable cup holder.

Gabe, I got an MGI AT (all terrain) early this year and have about 35 rounds (208 miles) on the odometer. I do want to say that there is a learning curve in getting used to operating it. You have to remember to extend the 5th wheel out the back (if yours has one), otherwise you can tip over backwards going up steep slopes. You also can't put the controller in your pocket while you tee off or when you bend to put in your tee you can easily depress the button and have your cart take off. A very nice machine, very well built, easy to operate once you get used to it, the battery will go 36 holes although I generally charge after 18. No negatives other than the upfront cost of 1500-2000 depending on the model. The optional seat attachment is worthwhile

I should add that after getting the cart I bought a Sun Mountain C130 stand bag and it fits "OK". It sometimes gets turned slightly when I am using it. If you have one of these carts and are going to get a bag, it would probably be worthwhile to get a bag made by MGI as it probably fits more precisely. Not necessary to get a new bag if you already have a good stand bag.

That’s good advice! I didn’t think I needed the fifth wheel, but I played a round with my son yesterday, and we were going up a steep hill and nearly tipped but I grabbed it before it went over. Popped 5th wheel down after that. 😀

I like that they moved the battery forward which makes it more stable. My MGi Zip Navigator WILL tip if I get it on a steep hill or hit a bad transition. The GPS stuff is nice especially if you don’t have a line to the flag with a laser. Sometimes nice to know front back middle.

I have an older mgi zip navigator cart and play hilly courses in California. I have to add a 10lb weight to keep it from flipping on inclines on the course. Not the most stable cart but since they moved the battery in front of the rear axle it should be a bit more stable. Otherwise, the best investment in golf ⛳️

I have had an Alphard V1 since 2019 on a Rovic 3 wheel cart. Best golf purchase I have ever made. My friends have the MGI carts. Even the AT version tips over at times. One issue, I want to move south from CT. Most courses in the south seem to not allow walkers. I go down to the Myrtle Beach area a couple times a year. No walking allowed.

Thanks for the video, much appreciated. I am currently running a zip navigator X3 which is by far the best golf trolley I’ve ever had. It is super silent, zero motor whine. On full speed, I’ve got a run to keep up with it. The stability is awesome with specially with the rear kick out wheel. It folds down to a very small footprint. The pot is also very strong and I can quite easily get two rounds, although I generally charge it after each one. It also has a braking facility going downhill and it will not run away. The torque of the motor keeps it at the steady pace even on the steepest hills. This new version looks pretty much like mine and I’d love to know where does the AI part of the trolley come in?

Bought MGI X5 last year, I'd highly recommend over this if you don't want the remote or GPS; Which I didn't want. Two criticisms, wish the bag stood a little bit taller rather than the lean it has, makes getting the woods out a bit tight. Secondly the cup holder is a bit weak for a heavy tumbler, can see it in your video. It's a great cart it's paid for itself twice over in just 2 seasons. Just gotta get buddies to walk more 😂.

My 3-year-old Zip Navigator just broke today. The front wheel assembly snapped off...without hitting anything. It was intact during the round, but came apart as I lifted it into my car. It doesn't disassemble there, and I don't know if it is a component that can be replaced (or if it's integral to the main body). I've reached out to MGI but haven't heard back. (All good; it's been just a couple of hours. I've really enjoyed it and have used it extensively, but that front-end assembly takes a beating when it hits holes you can't see. If they won't repair it--warranty or at my expense--I'll probably suck it up and replace it. (I don't need the GPS since I have that built into my Garmin range finder.) When I bought mine, there were three choices. You can have one you hold by the handle. You can have one you control by remote. And you can get one that follows your remote as you walk. I chose the middle one since I didn't want to handle the cart all the time and I really didn't see the value in the follow feature. Always use the 5th wheel. You'll need it if your tee boxes are elevated. And extend it. To me, the value isn't in replacing a cart. The value is in permitting me to walk more frequently. This is particularly important in Phoenix, where I live.

These new carts are way better than the older battery operated ones. Once when I was stationed in Pensacola Florida back in the 90s and playing the base course I was paired with an elderly woman who was using one. Halfway through the round the battery died and I pushed that thing the rest of the way for her. That was one of the toughest workouts I ever had! 🥵 Thankfully she hit the ball short but extremely straight. LOL

I walk and carry - I try to pretend golf is a sport! Seriously, a study I read some 25 years ago, out of the UK, showed that golfers lived 10 years longer than their contemporaries. In those days almost nobody in the UK used a cart, caddy or buggy. I bet the difference would be smaller if the study were repeated now. I'm 67 years old, playing in the south of Spain and I wouldn't dream of using junk like this. If it gets to the stage of not being able to play golf without this tech - that's when it's time for me to give up. What's next? Flat screen TV and a pizza oven???

I’d love to walk the course, but the course I play is over 8 miles long and walking that in 90+ degree heat with humidity in Alabama will kill you. You can’t drink enough water. I mean if I wasn’t nearing 60 maybe I could swing it. Some other courses around here aren’t that long to walk, but today’s golf designers are not concerned with a walker. The whole point is to sell a cart fee.
