You could also do a vídeo on Damage Reduction and Armor Penetration, they're weird small mechanics that realistically you would never max stack in a normal playthrough without an annoyingly long amount of farming, but it would be interesting seeing how they affect the damage you receive and deal.

Great video taught me about those two weapons giving defense, but you did forget the Dryads blessing, often used in arenas the center of boss fights it can grant the player an additional 8 defense 👍🏻 and strictly defense the Valhalla Knights Greaves offer 4 more defense than the solar flare leggings

Hey, don't sleep on endurance. That 45% you get from a full power Solar Armor shield is no joke and will cut out SO much damage.

I believe that the solar shield gives 30% damage reduction, and endurance gives 10%, so 30%+10%=40%.There is also beetle armor, which with 3 beetles gives 45% and add the endurance 10% that adds up to 55% damage reduction and add 17% from worm scarf that adds up to 72% damage reduction.

Now what about the best damage reduction? I believe you can get 100% damage reduction to cold enemies making the frost moon somewhat trivial.

there's a hard cap. so that 100 would likely be in the mid to high 60's. it has hard diminishing returns.

For the hardmode one I’m pretty sure you can use the chlorophyte melee helmet with the solar armor for more defense

yeah, the chlorophyte mask has 1 defense more than the solar helmet, so 209 is the actual max defense in vanilla

Just one small thing I noticed when you were talking about high defense armor sets in pre-hardmode, it's not necessarily a mistake, but you didn't mention ancient cobalt armor, which gives 17 defense and typically just takes a simple afk farm in the underground jungle to obtain. Like seriously, if you wanted to, you could get the demolitionist, buy bombs, and set up the farm within a couple hours of making a new world.

You forgot the endure potions and you could also get certain armor types from the tavern keeper which gives regeneration that out does any other defensive set and regeneration potions

I got like 3 hits of the dungeon guardian I had a super high defense and a very high damage reduction so the first hit didn't kill me, the second left me on the verge of death and the third killed me. (On normal mode)
