As you know, the Philadelphia 76ers fell to the New York Knicks in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs due to insane play from Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, Isaiah Hartenstein, and others. Joel Embiid missed most of the year with injury, but did play at a unanimous MVP level when healthy, Tyrese Maxey turned into an All Star level player, and Nick Nurse coached an all around great season. It was both a very disappointing but also promising year for the Sixers, and now they have reached a crossroads. Heading into the offseason, Philadelphia has a ton of cap space to pursue someone like Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Brandon Ingram, or others to be a third star along with Maxey and Embiid. They'll also have money to add high level role players and pretty much reshape the entire roster. If there was ever a chance to complete the process, it's right now. If they fail, they may lose Joel Embiid and have to again start from scratch. So, let's talk about it.
