like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

I completely agree; I am 60 years old, recently retired, and have approximately $1,250,000 in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, having a portfolio-advisor for investing is genius!

I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.

Please beware of the scammers here in the comments! Anybody mentioning any “advisor” by name or with contact details is a SCAM. Unfortunately a family member of mine fell for this and lost 1,000€. I’m just glad it wasn’t more money.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. I really appreciate the dedication in each video you post. Long term investor's know that the market and economy will recover eventually, and investors should be positioned for such a rebound, I gained $180k from bitcoin of 2021. I'mma be real, "if you've landed in a premium spot like NY or LA, you probably don't have to worry about dividends, you've already made it" is soooo tone deaf. That completely disregards large majorities of the populations of both metros who do, in fact, have money struggles.
