Yeah they've shown melee, gunplay, and vehicle combat in their streams and clips of it exist on youtube :)

I think Dune has a bigger name and more people will try it out and stay. LO was an unknown. LO is one of my favorite's.

Yeah last oasis was actually a great game. This has the chance to be a better version of LO, hopefully player count holds through launch issues

If it all takes place on Arrakis...I'm out. The DUNIVERSE is so much bigger than Arrakis...especially thousands of years later. Granted, by that point, the story is total shit, but it's a much, much bigger galaxy. Or in the prequels, before Melange is discovered and really understood. That would be another great setting for a proper MMO. But this...holds no interest as an MMO at all. Sounds like a bad version of any common FPS, mixed with the worst aspects of EVE Online...and then slapped with a Dune skin.

DLC my brother. Think long term. If it fails to produce you don’t throw all your eggs in one basket. If it gains a decent following they can work on a single planet for each dlc, providing the game with years of fresh content without stretching the dev team too big.

@@HaleftHaut don’t confuse micro/macro transactions with DLC. A proper expansion of a game is way different from dripfed content that doesn’t truly expand on gameplay, mechanics, and overall enjoyment. Saying that DLC has ruined gaming is absolutely not true.

@@HaleftHaut I’m not really understanding your point though… What exactly is your definition of a full game? You can release a COMPLETED game which can still be expanded upon later through different storylines, new gameplay features like new mechanics or a new campaign, etc. Live service games are actually an amazing way to keep a game relevant for years while bringing in revenue for different projects. Your argument seems to just be “dlc bad release full game” and propping up your argument with your favorite game as a single example.

@@bamfyfe that but i literally meant destiny clone. it’s going to have an npc hub and shitty mm missions to play co-op pve or pvp. destiny with survival and building mechanics.
