You could count the wall kick level as your earth level, as it was set in a desert. And because the last one was riding on a parachuting thwomp over a bottomless chasm: there's your air level.

It looked to me that he wanted you to put it down on the thwomp, but no one is gonna know that first try. You'd have to pause and look or record a clip to see. Very weird part

It's really obvious. As good as Ryu is at Mario sometimes I question his lack of ability to figure obvious things out. Then other times he insta reads everything correctly lol.

i dont think it was obvious at all, especially with the indicator block appearing connected to the shell area. the level creator couldve placed a thwomp in the ceiling with a block on top of it to better show the idea

28:00 in the original NSMB on the DS a groundpound did do 2 points of damage. You could defeat most bosses requiring 3 hits of damage in 2 this way.

35:57 Maybe the box should have been placed on the Thwomp and then you could have jumped from it to gain a little more extra height to then throw the shell in the pipe. Just an idea. But it was not neccessary, as we've seen.

i agree with you, on new super mario bros DS the ground pound actually deal 2 damage instead of 1, you can kill every boss with 1 jump and 1 ground pound

NGL, when the semi-impossible 1-frame window tricks or pixel-perfect situations come out, it's like... "hmmm... why are we all wasting our TIME?!", lol. 😂 I mean, what I appreciate the most is excellent level design, not the whole "here's a 3 second level where you attempt to stroke the flagpole 84477325 times until you randomly get it "right". 🙄

I mean, we sort of have that. You give enemies a mushroom in the editor to make them bigger, and when koopalings go into their spin mode they're basically invincible.
