Say what you want about him, but you gotta admit, he is enjoying the moment and he is giving all of it

He is actually pretty good. I really like it! Never knew he could sing like this. Mind blown! (:

I love his "Damn all the odds!" I love it when it's prolonged and on a higher pitch yeah.

When I first saw the name "David Hasselholf" on this video I just thought it was someone else with the same name, so when I started watching I was in shock to see it was actually him. He's pretty good! I'm so glad I found other people who like his singing. I think this was a great performance!

I thought he did very well. Nobody sings pitch perfect every time. For a man that is not classically trained. I thought he did very well. The end note was held longer than some famous singers can. I was bullied throughout my school years. I represented schools and church by singing in competitions. If we stop singing because it's not perfect(as I did0. Nobody would ever achieve anything in life.

I was just about to complain when I read Ellie Dawson's comment. You won me over. I saw Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway before David Hasselhoff. Here's the thing: I paid good money to see it because the show was well cast. I wouldn't pay to see him BUT he has a very good fan base which kept the show open longer and people employed. I respect that.

I can listen to him sing this a thousand times and it still inspires me and takes my breath away

Anthony Warlow and others who have taken on this role are clearly more trained, but he Hasselhoff is still clearly giving his all to it, even he doesn't have as much training, and he does the song justice in his own way, with more passion that singing capability. Would I like to see a stronger singer perform the number? Yes, but I still can appreciate effort when I see it.

Sure his singing isn't on point but you cannot say he isn't into the role and living through the character a fantastic effort

David Hasselhoff wanted to be on Broadway since he was 8 years old. This song really shows how happy he was! He and I learned that you just believe in yourself and never give up. Dreams Come True!

Amazing! I didn't know he could sing!

Brilliant! I've seen Hasselhoff at his lowest crawling around drunk, heard the unfair jibes made at him; & I came here to see for myself how bad he is...& found him to be magnificent. It's no wonder he got this role & for my money this is little different to how Michael Crawford began in musicals. He surprised everyone & despite not having the strongest voice pulled it off & grew stature & ability. Hasselhoff could have done the same but for all the haters.

A bizarre performance... but you have to concede that he gives it his all.

For an amateur pop singer he's good. No doubt that if he was classically trained since his early years, he could have been a great singer. Anyway, still good that he did something to promote theater.

David Hasselhoff is Jekyll/Hyde I like the most, he's just great, Robert Cuccioli as well, but my favourite one is another guy: he's a friend of mine and I played with him in our own musical, we performed it for the first time ever in Italy in English and we had such a great success, just yesterday we had our third performance. if you want to hera him, check his name Ludovico Carrino (we are italian)

People really need to quit trash talking Hoff, he did an amazing job for the difficult role he played. And I'd also like to see all trash talkers walk up on that stage in front of a thousand people and sing it better.

David Hasselhoff is a divisive figure. This, though, proves his worth. Whatever you may think of him personally - Professionally he's right on his game!

I loved this! Listening to the soundtrack after watching the Hoff's performance, I think the soundtrack with Marlow has a technically better performance. I feel Marlow just sounds clearer and better then the Hoff. But Hoff is just giving it his all and is just SO energetic! maybe It's not the best vocal performance EVER, but he's just so into it and having fun! and when they're having fun, I'M having fun and I really don't want to nitpick :). That's how I feel about Hoff's performance. Maybe it's not the greatest, clearest performance in the history of Broadway, but he's obviously having a blast and giving it his all, and I can feel that!

I don't think he is anywhere near the standard that someone who wasn't funding the performance would have had to be. But saying that he did a much better job than I thought he would, this is one of the most demanding roles on broadway and he did alright. He hit a couple of great notes in there.

@newcrossboy nobodies perfect, everyone has their own image of whats right, and 100% of the time you aren't that image, and you will always be rejected, but the will that keeps guys like him going and the fact that they dont care what others think is one of the reasons i respect him as a performer.
