I like to play on hard mode. I first found out about this game by seeing an old AI devlog and I liked how they moved. They actually kinda know what they are doing. Why don't I play multiplayer games instead? Well, unlike players, AI doesn't mind me having unfair advatages. You should try hard mode just to pay respect to the effort to make good video game enemy AI in modern day and age.

Seems to have a few similarities to the game F.E.A.R. from 2005. The bullet time and type of action and environment, as well as the ability to become invisible (something the enemy did). And also the choice of pistol and shotgun and the fact that the SPAS12 is treated as a pump action instead of a semi.

The SPAS12 is both pump and semi, but pump action is only used for low energy non lethal rounds which don't have enough energy to cycle the bolt(?) in semi.

The bullets ricochetting and taking dust off from the walls and ground and props flying everywhere, enemies are small combat teams that take cover and communicate with each other... Slow time, kicking, sverwing and all that good stuff with amazing lighting. No wonder this reminded me of FEAR too. It's the good old formula for fun and it's amazing they put more elements to the mix which will make this game stand different although the shoot and run genre(couldn't come up with a better name) is pretty congested right now with amazing indie games and amazing low budget developer studios.

Fun Fact: In the old demo if you beat the wave mode you would get teleported to the backrooms where you would be forever facing enemies (Reaching wave 20 would reset the level) unless you found the exit that was, for me at least, really hard to find. To which you'll go in what seems like circles for a bit, even shooting out the lights make them stay shot out, until you reach this exit full of thin platforms suspended above space. Falling down will result you being where the game would drop you off after beating the prologue. And this was BEFORE the backrooms picked up steam again. It was awesome. I think they removed it in the new one due to it being not the focus.

great video and by the way as a person who played the only current story mission of both demo of 2017 and now on Rage mode difficulty ı gotta say yeah this game is definiantly more fun on easier difficulties since it allows you to do more fun and stupid stuff while on super hard you kinda start to see some cracks on the gameplay that forces you to play in a certain way that ı feel like isn't meant to be played that way.

While I hate to be that guy, the most fun I've had for free is unironically Roblox. There's an unreasonably huge amount of effort put into FPS games on that website. Like you wouldn't believe that a game with the graphics of less than Legos could be so realistic. To the point that you'll have animations for checking your mag, distances of tossed mags being different based on how many bullets are inside of them, changing the firing mode. So much love goes into those games that it's surprising they can be free. I really suggest trying Frontlines, State of Anarchy, and Phantom Forces. Seriously, you won't be disappointed.
