It is brilliant. I can imagine the writers room when someone suggested this and it being ten minutes of chaos whilst everyone can't stop laughing, then someone saying "we have to do that". The best part for me (as I have to assume it was intentional) was them not having the characters say it, to make it obvious, but just leave it to the audience and the show plays it straight.

Just occurred to me that at the end he didn't attack her with his magic directly because he'd just seen her absorb Alice's that way. He uses his magic to compel others to attack her "mundanely" instead. Well played.

The Trial was about loyalty and they failed, remember that Agatha is a vilain but she still help Jen And Alice on her trials and when was her trial all of them except Wiccan and Rio, turn against her. What happend at the end was Wiccan's way of saying they are unworthy of walking the road because they are not loyal and not working as a coven, so he expell them for the road, Alice's death was so impactfull for Wiccan because they bonded and they got a connection. Alice was the only one that was nice to him, treating him as part of the coven and not just a pet or a familiar like Agatha and Jen did this episode, she was always the first one to go to him when he got hurt and always ready to protect him. When Alice died Wiccan saw how indifferent they are about it and you can see it when they talked after getting out of the trial. The moral of this trial was them working together and it was for no reason that Evanora Harkness said "Leave her, to me" or "You must walk the road without Agatha" that was the test, they were suppost to help defend her and not get ready to just abbandon her there, that's why they failed the trial.

I’m hearing people say now how they knew Alice was gone because her story arc was complete last episode, and it’s like no that’s not how TV shows work, just because a character story arc is completed means they will be killed usually characters aren’t killed actually.

Agatha is the spirit guide. She's also been the one (aside from Teen) that has been coaxing everyone to keep moving forward, and the one who got both Jen and Alice to calm down during their trials and 'guiding' them to the answer

Ah hah, but that's where Agatha's line of "You're just like your mother" comes in! In the first episode, there was a car accident and a death not far from Wanda's corpse that "Agnes" mentioned multiple times. The theory is that was another teenage boy, and Billy took over his body to come to be as he is now. This *may* have been inadvertent however strong chaos magic to override or kill someone for their own gain could run in the family and mean Billy already has killed to gain power (a real body in this universe).

I dont know if anyone mentioned this, but here one of Lilia's prophecies was fulfilled. In episode 03 she says "save Agatha!!!" And in episode 04 she says in a desperate voice to Alice "please don't try!!". Her prophetic magic is messed up and she only sees in pieces and then forgets.

So if you go back to the Divination witches previous visions, she said save agatha, and alice don't... you put them together, "alice don't save agatha", she saw alice's death. AND in this episode she said something about all the screaming being bad enough the first time, earlier she held her hands to her ears and yelled, just like in this one... everything came true =)
