imagine an orchid cube plus, basically this but with the straight 2x2x3 cuts as well

You should probably try to get qiyi to mass produce this since they already mass produced both "halves" of it.

CRAZY! I love the puzzle! should be pretty fun to solve!

There have been many times I've tried to imagine a puzzle with all three types of turning. I'm most impressed that you've accomplished that with a puzzle that actually seems very smooth.
@mindgamer0217 жыл бұрын
I hope it gets mass produced! I like it!

Very interesting design. Incidentally, after umming and erring over tensions. I finally glued the center caps to my Mini 3x5x5. Very happy with the outcome, and it is a standout among my collection for sure.

That's an insane looking puzzle. I'd love to see it mass produced!

Well this is just superb. wonderful concept. good stuff! ☺
@gstephane19857 жыл бұрын
Well, this is another beauty! The concept is really promising! I hope you'll find a way to fix the petals sliding out of their position... I really like the asimetric look but can't stop thinking that a "double orchid puzzle" (2 helicopter sides + rotating centers in the middle) would be so cool, like a big tower. Also, what about a cube with just 6 rotating centers and the 8 trivial rotating tips? ;-)

That exists now. It is the qiyi ancient coin cube

Wow Greg! That is fantastic! I love that you put all the 3 turning type to one puzzle! Really nice idea, and nice finish! Congrats! PS: I hope the next one will be "the puzzle" I have sent you back not so long ago.

You're simply amazing. Incredible. Amazing cube, even for me, that I don't like the jumbling in cubes hahaha. Amazing, please keep making and creating cubes like it!
@ignacioherrera68207 жыл бұрын
Maybe you can put some little thing (like ridges or something) on circles, for easier turn. Simply amazing
@GregMakesThings7 жыл бұрын
Ok this is embarrassing, but I did put square holes in the centers (you can barely see the outline on the center stickers) for the circle faces, and printed a key to help me turn it... but I sat on it and broke it ^^'

Wow! This puzzle is awesome! Anyway is it available just only the edge turning part (6 sides with only the white face pattern). Kinda like that pattern and design.

That is so awesome!

If the cuts were deeper on the helicopter axes, to create corners, would a CC+ type variant be possible? How would that change the face and corner turning axes?
@samus887 жыл бұрын
You should glue some sort of handle on the circle faces, for easier turning.
@graalaam53617 жыл бұрын
Did you calculate the number of possible positions? otherwise great puzzle and very original too :)

It’s a mix between a clover cube and an ancient coin cube
@maxthexpfarmer39574 жыл бұрын
Both are made by QiYi.

You don't :) Sorry but I don't sell my designs at the moment. Maybe soon though :)

Watching in 2018, this puzzle seems like a mixture of a Qiyi Clover Cube and an Ancient Coin Cube of Qiyi.
@tomdriessens7 жыл бұрын
awesome puzzle, you said trivial corners, but they are actually not because you can scramble the paddles on them.
@joeycubes687 жыл бұрын
Also will you jumble that puzzle when scrambling it.
@GregMakesThings7 жыл бұрын
I did try, but it's still as easy. I think it's about as easy as a 1x2x17. So no difficulty whatsoever, but just a "lot" of parts to place
@joeycubes687 жыл бұрын
Greg's Puzzles oh, cool.

have you thot to make a hybrid of a mix up cube and bagua cube ? :)
@tabris11357 жыл бұрын
Dalton Thuotte so we have edges=centers and edges=corners which leads to corners=centers. that's too mean😂
@daltonthuotte90837 жыл бұрын
Tabris yep but I have a idea of a hybrid of five difrint puzzles :D
@tabris11357 жыл бұрын
Dalton Thuotte you mean the geared bagua-dreidel-mixup-curvycopter megaminx?
