You can find the real scammer by searching the land title at the Gov. land deeds office. Just copy everything and the names of everyone who has had access to titles. You will find the culprit and lawyer up!!!😊

The pit falls of buying land in the Philippines. After about 10 inspections of different properties, it became clear to me that I would never spend money on trying to purchase land. I now rent a beach front two story house on an island for 10,000p per month. If I go to Manila to break up the slow pace of island live for a week or so I rent through airbandb a nice condo at very reasonable rates. No stress, no hassles.

There is nothing wrong with a sloping property. Look at your amazing view. Get an architect to design a terraced home on that hillside and it will be amazing. Also, you need to hire someone to plant vetiver grass on your hillside. Vetiver is a grass available in Philippines and is specifically used to prevent erosion on hillsides.

Make a map with a list of the property owners around you. It will take some research but eventually you may be able to purchase an adjoining property to combine with yours to get access to a road or the best building spot for views or level ground. You can also build on a hillside with the proper techniques. Once your property is combined with the other property that can access the road it will make all your land even more valuable. With the knowledge you're obtaining from this experience you could consider becoming a real estate agent or a some other job related to the process.

If you plan to build on it, you just need to make sure the foundation is sunk sufficiently deep into the hillside. Need pilings drilled or driven deep into the ground to support a home and it should be safe then to build on. It may necessaite builidng vertically and this could mean a home that has wonderful views from all the floors of the home. Second, make sure to stabilize the hillside as well to prevent landslides. In the end you might have a multilevel home that has incredible views from all levels so this could work out well if you save up and build it right instead of building fast. Talk to a proper engineering firm about how to set up the property for a proper build in the future.

2:26 I have no complaints about that view. Sure, it isn't 360 , but it is still nice seeing down to the water. The only advice I can give is to make good foundations so that if there is a mud slide, the house will still stand. I've lived on a sloped block for 20 years. The house is still standing strong and has an amazing view. You take it for granted but when people visit they are full on amazed. The secret with sloped land is to make sections flat and put good steps. Depending on the size, you can just make terraces.

Rubeauti, I prefer being on a high hill. Besides the nice view, it’s not susceptible to flooding and you can get better communications radio antenna coverage. When you do finally build a home there, make it a sturdy home so that the Typhhoon wind won’t be able to tear the roof off or knock it down. Consider planting trees to help keep the home cool. Please check this out with a builder. (Assuming you can get legal access to your land). The only building that might possibly be built on such steep land is a Bamboo building. You might be able to rent something like that out as well. Again, check with a builder first before committing to such a project.

It's not a stupidity issue. It's an experience issue. I've been flipping houses in the US for 22 years. Each property I flip I learn more and make fewer mistakes. When you go to college to learn. Buying property and it doesn't go as perfectly as you wanted you learn. Both have a cost. It's not wasted money if you learn.

Rubeauti, building on a slope is nowhere near impossible. One of the major things to consider is storm water runoff, it has to be deviated away from the house and any footings, plus proper drainage (as in weeping tile), especially for any concrete or stone walls. You obviously don't need to deal with freeze and thaw cycles, yet its rather important to make the footings as deep as possible to assure the home has good purchase on the hillside and will not move in the event of large rain events. Otherwise, that can ruin the structure over time if not done properly. It is indeed a beautiful spot and I can picture a nice home there. As long as you can sort the access/right of way issues, can get the materials up there as painlessly as possible and build in the highest possible part (helps with the view as well), I see this as viable. Trust me on this. I built a house on a rather aggressive slope and in Ontario, Canada. Deal with all four seasons and what they bring and no issues. Some thought I was out of my mind, yet I built it out over five years ago and everyone that visits loves the house, the views and privacy. Some are actually jealous. Avoid the naysayers and doubters and make a good solid plan to build your nest. It will not be easy for sure as no build is. Lots of moving parts and bureaucracy. I can imaging more so there. Always think about the desired result and work diligently to achieve it. I'm sure there are a lot of people that can advise you well without any nefarious intent and that you have the determination to pull this off. Looking forward to many updates!

storm surge is half the threat with a typhoon. a little elevation is a good thing. when your ready to build, choose your building materials wisely. the last house i built in the Philippines makaligtas odet.🙏 while other did not. use good kahoy, and river sand and rock for cement. hire the local kids to move your materials and they will Magpahalaga . good luck

Look at the Roads on the Low Side of your Property. Is there a road near your Property? With side-hill properties you have a choice to build either "Up Hill" or "Down Hill". If you build up-hill, your Front Door is at the bottom...

With some heavy equipment you can build into the hillside and make an earth ship house with recycled tires , very well insulated and still provide an awesome view! build on stilts (concrete) and make 3 levels with a huge terrace. done not sure how to get concrete there but workers aren't expensive. can look like a millionaires mansion. have friends that are architects. they constantly send me nice pics of amazing super cheap houses. and as designer I could even build one myself. thought of building a dome house in the Philippines but the acoustic sucks. I know one place I looked at in Spain, which we called the Hobbit House, there was almost a small natural dam built; sided with rock - in a dry place, but occasional flood waters; but that would need a specialist to design the plug / forces; but the physical distance was not that great.
