This is the RAREST Bike We Have EVER Owned!

We Recently Bought one of the rarest bikes we have ever owned. There were only 1,950ish ever made over 20 years ago! Why were only 1,950 made? well we talk about it in this video, as well as some of the unique features of this motorcycle!

Hey, thanks for the comment :) feel free to tell us where we went wrong so for those who don’t know E-H. I’m aware of our mispronunciation thanks to another viewer. We haven’t personally ridden but hit the local forums, conversed with several long time EH riders, and researched across a dozen articles… However at the end of the day we haven’t ridden and there’s only so much you can do research wise ;) Thanks for your comment though! Thanks for the reply. Totally get that. All I can say is what I can attest to in my other replies. Unfortunately lots of research, and commendations from folks who have long been in the XH community can be unraveled by a simple mistake :) This is our first video of this style so hopefully in the future we can try our best to keep getting better! I did hear they had a lot of issues off the line, but I was pretty intrigued by the fact that the community has solved a lot of the issues. Still behind in a lot of departments but it’s still a beauty!

Desirability is a fickle beast. I am currently in the process of bringing a “garage find” 2000 EH Deadwood Special back to life. The parts availability for this bike is about as good as any motorcycle, despite its rarity and age. Old Ferrari’s are desirable, old Aston Martin’s are dirt cheap. Are Aston Martin’s reliable? Not really. Are old Ferraris? Not really. I can say from this restoration process I have learned EH was a quality product that failed (as most all other V twin startups did) due to poor timing, its competitors’ political influence and a downturn in the broader economic environment. Had they survived, the problems would have been corrected in new models and older ones recalled and retrofitted. In fact, as @GrandpaGrumpyPants indicated, Dan Hanlon has been instrumental in the survival and legacy of the marque.

@@Bodged_Garage Very well said Bodged_Garage! Another aspect to EH failing from what I have read is that $100M was not really enough to inject into getting another brand going, compared to Polaris $200M injection for Victory motorcycles. Which still could never establish enough of the market share.
