Sitting for four and a half days without getting paid is ridiculous. You made the right decision 👍👍

Thats every job. Feels like its only one way. Not both way to worth together. I guess its business only to them . I do same in deadhead for family alot of times . But its good to have dispatch that works with your deadhead and listen to you . Our culture is to make sure our elders are taking cared of. Good for you and its a blessing.

Don't worry about what other people think. You do whatever is better for you and your family. I live in Ohio but I was in Miami for 2 days couldn't find anything paying good so I dead headed to the house lol..

Hey there my brother Jorge!! You do you man. You know what is right and best for you and your family. FAMILY ALWAYS FIRST NO MATTER WHAT. I left my UAW job at Ford Motor Company back in 2004 after 9 years up in Michigan to come down to Florida to help care for my Mom & Dad as my Dad was battling his own cancer. It was heartbreaking to leave my Ford Family, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I got to spend the best year together with my dad that we had ever had together as he passed a year later. Yes, I took a major hit financially and went to my still current job with no benefits whatsoever, but that's ok. That last year I had with my Dad is absolutely priceless. My new Goal is getting into CDL school to be an OTR driver and moving my Mother to a better state with a better life and home. I will be 50 years old this year, but I am determined to make sure she can be somewhere safe and happy for the rest of her days. This deadly virus has put a damper on my original plans, but I WILL, and I MUST make this work for not just myself, but mainly for her. God Bless you Jorge, your Dad, and your family as a whole through these trying times, and I truly from the bottom of my heart truly wish you and yours the very best. And may your Dad kick this cancers butt!!!! You WILL make the right decision, and your family here on KZbin will be with you along this journey. Peace my friend! ~Ted

Hi, Jorge. What a great video. Yes you do make sense brother. At the end of the day, it depends on what you think is best for you. You take care of yourself and your family, as they are very important. Keep the pedal to the metal and keep on trucking and making great videos. Thinking of you, best wishes from Dublin.

Last message. I tell you this much. It dont make sense for every tucker on the road who stays on by force for weeks and months to make $500 to $700 a week, maybe 1k as a company driver ( not every driver, you know who you are) When thier is local work that pays that much and home everyday Working at: Local driver Chemical plant Amazon FedEx UPS Maybe uber Thier is alot of work at home that pays just as much as a company driver and they home everyday Why these drivers out here. Thier are millions of reason Some are: Gain Experience Divorce Lost everything Enjoying the open road to see USA Best they can get with thier Physical Maybe to get away from the wife and kids for a bit Many more reason But to me I say it dont make sense for them to be out there when that same money is at home But they do it. Just saying . I didnt like my pay the first year driving but my goal was to gain Experience, get a local job. Now I'm always looking for the better deal, better pay for my family and home time.

I don’t know why, but I always love driving bobtail. I guess it’s because I can pass trucks left and right. Lol. I would’ve done the same thing. My company does it all the time. And I’m sorry about your father. My father passed three years ago from complications to Alzheimers. I was blessed to be home for a week while he was in hospice.

Spending time away from home and family and in a tin can cabin container in your truck days at a time should be the single sole reason why trucks NEED to be paid BANK. It is very hard out there beast mode style. Not everyone can do this job period. And because the economy DEPENDS on truckers. But mostly because of the SACRIFICE these people make. This sort of stuff goes unrecognized far too often and people need to be aware.

Bro, run local when you have special events. You had alot of event's in 4 weeks That whole talk with dispatch that you trying to demand. I been thier and done it. Never changes . Every week is a challenge. Will it go my way Will I make alot of money Will I be home Will the truck make it without costing me money That's how it is at this job
@DanielGarcia-zz9eg4 жыл бұрын
Yes you right it doesn't make sense to sit forever. But Come on bro In 4 weeks you had alot of events going on that the company couldn't get you back home . Fathers birthday Father's Day 4th of july What you need to do when you have special events comming up Or You trying to be home more often Call your dispatch and let them know you wanna run local. Doesn't pay as much OTR but 2k a week to work around Houston and be with the family daily or weekends is better then Burying yourself in debt with fuel / truck payment and wasting time sitting at truck stops Sometimes it pays to work local. You dont always have to go OTR to make the big money. We are short handed right now for local drivers . Try local for a couple of weeks and see what you think of it I ran local for 2 weeks to be home for special events. I was home alot and still got paid and was Not in the negative. That's what I do with this lease purchase

I really don't see the humor in this but to each is own.. I would imagine that you are proud of your name as am I. It's not about going balls out It's about saying it correctly and with pride. This has definitely been one of the strategies comments I've ever read on my channel.. Anyway thank you for your comment and safe travels...
