I had initially planned to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money, but the impact of high prices on various goods and services has significantly disrupted my retirement plan. I'm worried about whether those who experienced the 2008 financial crisis had it easier than I currently am. The volatility of the stock market is a concern as my income has decreased, and I fear that I won't be able to contribute as much as before, potentially jeopardizing my retirement savings.

The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular coach to you using their service?

True.. my father in his retirement stuck to a routine. He said that must have discipline even in retirement otherwise idleness can be a killer.

Routine is good but it is also the comfort zone. Nothing new grows in the comfort zone. Longevity happens when one is active, constantly learning new things and evolving with the times.

very true. lots of singaporeans around me dont have a life outside of work or their kids. They dont know what to do with their time if these 2 were taken away from them. In short, NO PURPOSE in life. And the worst is they never ponder or seek to address this even after living for so many years. That is very sad.

They are so into the busy-ness of life that they forgot to stop & ask themselves these questions : What is the life that is worth living for and what is my purpose in life?

I am going to retire very soon. And I’ve got my investment and trading to see me through. Not only that, I have a whole lifestyle of exercising, learning, doing overseas projects and daily meditation to see me through.

@@corporatebreakoutcouple Most people get bored from retirement because all their entire life, what they have was the outer life. The life of material living. The life of physical existence. Beyond that, there is nothing else to look forward to. There is something called the inner life. It’s a life of spiritual well being, spiritual growth in the self cultivation sense. Not in terms of ghosts and spirits and all that. In the inner life, there are self cultivation such as meditation, prayers, reading, activities such as sports and retreats. This is a life, very few people know exists because very few people are interested in meditation and self cultivation. It seems very boring, and non excitement. But it’s a life of self discipline and inner healing. It takes a lot of effort and self control to tread. But the rewards are amazing. There is peace and a deep sense of purpose in living. It’s like living a life of monkhood in a domestic setting where one does not need to beg for food nor shelter. We are self reliant. Beyond the physical outer life, most people have nothing to look forward to.

People retire from their job, but not from life. Proper planning: Fincinally, mentally, and emotionally. Appreciate the vlog.

As someone who's barely stepping into adulthood these kind of videos always intrigue me. To me it seems like promises of early retirement are just a facade for shifting the burden. Sure, you can retire early, but at the cost of more risk and instability, either sooner or later. You can absolutely gain complete freedom, but at the cost of increased isolation (after all, work is a considerable part of social life, at least in the western world!). To that end I wonder, not just if I, but if anyone should aspire early retirement. I think one should instead pursue fulfilling work, whilst staying penny-wise. Even in your case, I don't think you can say you have truly retired, as you clearly spend a great deal of time on your youtube endeavors, i.e. you made a risky career change. Those are just some thoughts I figured I would dump here, I am writing this from a relatively priviliged position, in the sense that I never need to worry about my finances (though it is wise to do so every once in a while haha), but I think it is something to think about.
