5:18 input type makes sense. These are different voice pitching algorhythms. If you use soprano for low male voice it brings more pitch artifacts to your vocal mix than using low male voice algorhythm

I record my vocals with a premix too. It’s super useful like you don’t have to put too much just enough to give more confidence in the process. At least for me.
