I just picked one of these up. 1/2 hour direct, then I warp in butcher’s paper. Man this thing is incredible. It’s just my wife and 2 kids, so firing up my egg smoker is too much trouble and fuel because I usually buy petite briskets. This is the real deal for empty nesters, I can smoke for two.

So I have moded fan to 12v so I can run it from the car, camper or whatever and I certainly wouldnt want propane. .... Then I noticed fan is actually 5v so it will run from the usb..... so any power bank. Thats pretty portable!😊😊

I’m going to suggest this device to my son. I’m not sure why you said pork was hard to smoke. I thought for sure you would say brisket was the test but once you opened it I realized why you didn’t. Also, couldn’t you cook the left over marinade for the sauce? You essentially made it again anyway.

It's marketed as, "Portable." But, needs electricity to work? So, portable in the sense that you can pick it up and carry it. They could have made this even cheaper if they just had a propane valve on it. That way, it would be TRULY portable.

true, but electricy is pretty easy to comeby even away from home. a lot of parks in the us will have hook up. vacation spots will have it for you. if youre camping can use vehicle or generator. pretty exciting product!

Rocky1115 If You watch other reviews of this masterbuilt, 1 set of AA Batteries will last 7hrs!! Even if You carried a 2nd set of batteries, it would be more portable than a 1 lb tank of propane. IDK about You, But I'll take charcoal over propane any day of the week. Esp. if You're smoking. And masterbuilts are capable of higher temps for searing & grilling b/c of the charcoal fuel source.

No - This is not the tiniest or smallest smoker you can have or use. I have boththe Trager ranger and the pit boss 150 navigator. And when the pit boss also have direct grilling as you can open the grill down to the fire. And both are smaller than this one. Come to Denmark and I will show you……
