The Crew MOTORFEST UBISOFT Toyota 😀🤩VS NFS unbound EA RIP Toyota 💩🤬

@@pedrocora3605oookay, not helping T+ tier NPC. Nobody needs more division. Competition between IPs should be about them pushing each other to do better and deliver better product to the consumer. Not braindead brand wankers cheering for trash to kill a fumbling legend. Yeah, I said it, if you came for flamewar, I'm gonna overfeed the troll. Motorfest is just a hollow corporate mess copying another hollow corporate mess. Forza Horizon is no more than a bloated husk standing on dead giants' shoulder. Motorfest may very well be the best Horizon available on PC right now, but that's just a sad reflection of where racing games are heading. NFS tho... despite EA's best efforts, it still has a heartbeat. We are living proof of that.

Personally I think Need for Speed is in desperate need of a rebrand, the recent games focus on "influencer" culture and cringey "How do you do fellow kids" dialogue is just off putting. I think the series would do well to go in a very different direction. Something more in the vain of Midnight Club LA, a more grounded story with realistic characters, and a world that caters to every style (tuner, muscle, drag, lowrider, etc.)

Heat's story was still decent. It was clear that there was tension between the racers and the police. But Unbound even though technically a superior game, fell short on story for me. I love everything else about the game. They really need to bring back some anger and darkness into the stories.

Criterion developed one of the best first person shooters ever made; Black
@OmairArif8 ай бұрын
They've made an FPS in the past (black), they are experienced in the Frostbite engine, and they assisted on Battlefront II, Battlefield V, and Battlefield 2042. So after the commercial failure of unbound it makes some sense that EA would have Criterion focus on something else for a bit.

not gonna lie, the main reason i didn't want to touch unbound was EA pulling the plug on it like they did Heat. Sad to see that to actually end up being the case.

As I software engineer I've been working in game development before, so if they want to hire me to do some job, I'm ready for it to work on the NFS we all loved.

I grew up playing Need for Speed when I was 8 years old in 2006 with Most Wanted 2005 and it changed my life. I’m 25 now and it’s just not the same game anymore that I grew up with. Bring back the metal soundtracks, real cop chatter, actual cutscenes, etc. #WeWantNFS
After hot pursuit, i can much agree. Most of the games havent been great/at a peak that they used to be. Its like they have given up on NFS now. EXTREMLY DISSAPOINTING #WeWantNFS

I love it for a lot of reasons. Not just 'cos it was my first racing game. Don't think I have really hated any NFS, sure there have been few things in the games that I didn't like. But the NFS series will always be my favorite

i would love for EA Canada to come back to make NFS games again for NFS's 30th anniversary next year. why?because without EA Canada, there would be no NFS

Bro we need a reboot with a studio similar to Ghost, not gonna happen but it's the dream
@thecarspec_8 ай бұрын
I don't think it's really necessary for other soft reboot. Even though I'm open to the idea, NFS has so many different identities that there isn't a distinctive identity that defines it. My point is that if whoever studio went with rebooting the series with a hot pursuit or classic nfs type entry, most of the community would be in flames. A new hot pursuit would be better if it was a standalone entry rather than rebooting the series

there is better racing games than Need for Speed.
@thecarspec_8 ай бұрын
Sure, but there are no other recent open world racing games like Need for Speed. Forza Horizon 5 is a festival racer, average one at that. The Crew Motorfest is another festival racer. That's all.

Just Bring back black box who have the rights to remake underground, mostwanted & carbon,and don't micro manage or rush them in making games. ~lastly don't use frostbite engine, its awful. Overheats the cpu fr no reasons even on modern well cooled desktops,its difficult to port games and is buggy.frostbite was meant for fps games. Mayb use a modern chameleon engine from nfs hot pursuit 2010..? ~Forza Horizon 5 runs great on pcs, check that.

criterion needs to be fired and hire a new development team that takes the franchise in a different direction with a new vision.

That would a good solution if Criterion has to work on Battlefield. I just want future NFS's to have full attention in development without any mishaps

@@thecarspec_remember that EA acquired Codemasters & Slightly Mad Studios a couple years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if one of their teams was working on a NFS title.

At this point I might as well request for a anthro NFS game with the rough edgy vibes from the old MW ( its weird but unbound has this modern day cringe bs )
@koda4338 ай бұрын
need for speed is on a low since 13 years now. hot pursuit was the last really great game. the run was way too short for a full price title, most wanted 2012 wasn't need for speed, it was burnout and everything ghost sucked. the most recent game wasn't even developed by OG criterion. that was leftovers of other studios, mainly ghost. that is basically the reason it still sucks. it's just a bit less bad because it isn't just ghost but also at least some competent people.

lmao "Doesn't make any logical sense" really? Doesn't make sense to put your teams on one of your most popular/profitable franchises instead of a dead series? NFS has its die-hards sure, but sales have been waning for the series for over a decade. Just gotta accept it. People aren't really drawn to arcade style racing games anymore.

I disagree. For one, NFS as a whole has more sales than Battlefield. Two, nfs unbound wasn't marketed well, didn't get officially announced until 2 months prior to its release. People still don't know about unbound. Battlefield isn't even competitive enough to compete with COD. Which is what Battlefield has been attempting. As well as 2042 destroying its reputation. NFS isn't dead, the team's behind it are. The community is still as alive as it was when Heat came out. Which is the most selling nfs in 2010's onwards.
@gunman84528 ай бұрын
NFS has sold 3x the amount of copies of Battlefield, in fact NFS has sold more copies than Zelda ffs, old NFS games are being modded to this day, very few games get mods let alone be modded for almost 20 years

Last time I checked, the Battlefield series has been tanking aswell, because they are such bad games in the recent generations.

"People aren't really drawn to Arcade-style racing games anymore" Incorrect. The arcade-style racing games they've been offered recently just haven't measured ip, is all. If people shy away from eating "moldy cheese and cardboard sandwiches", it'd be stupid to then conclude "ah, I guess people just aren't drawn to sandwiches anymore." Like, no, dude. They'd gladly eat regular sandwiches if you offered them; but when your every new sandwich recipe is "moldy cheese and cardboard"-level, of course people are going to look elsewhere for food.
