Not unusual to be so cold down there this time of year. You will need to go back again there are so many walks there. Bay of fires, wine glass bay, liffey Falls, gorge walk, I could go on. Enjoy, your faces tell us everything 🥰
@LimestoneCoastCustoms Жыл бұрын
You know, As much as I can't stand the cold I can understand the wonder. I've only ever seen snow the once & that was in Tassy on Mt. Wellington (it was more ice than snow though) Your experience seemed like the real deal & certainly odd for that time of year. It's now the 11th of Dec when I'm viewing this, snow at this time of year in Oz is just not right, but the scenery was so awesome, thankyou for sharing that piece of paradise. Stay safe guys (& warm)

Your reaction upon seeing snowfall for the same time reminded me of my GF's reaction when she too saw it for the first time years ago. She has been wishing for it to snow all week when we were at the Snowy Mountains skiing, to which I said, "trust me, you don't want it to snow". It did eventurally snow and sure enough after 2 hours of snowfalls (and continued to fall,) she's had enough. 😁😁

If you're ever back down in Queenstown, theres a intermediate 4wd track which takes you to the summet of Mt Huxley, I promise you it's one of the best views in tasmania, plus you can camp there! Best place to camp on Lake Burberry I reckon is Linda creek, its just off the main road a little bit and you're camped right on the lake. Btw I'm addicted to the scollop pies at Campbelltown Banjo's ( halfway between launnie and hobart haha).

Really love the excitement you two both got from being in and seeing snow for the first time. For those of us who have worked in snow it’s not so exciting. Wet snow is the worst, it gets flicked up by the tyres into wheel housings and steering joints which will actually stop the vehicle because the wheels won’t turn. All has to be all dug out ☹️☹️☹️ your weather hasn’t been great there nor has it been here in NZ either for November. Happy travels.

@@itsJackandMegan yep, really enjoy it for the first 15 minutes but after 20 minutes not so much. 😀😀😀😀 we didn’t have much luck in Tasmania with the weather either and we were there March/April. When people ask us what the weather is like in Tasmania I usually say 24th February is usually a good day. 😂😂😂 Unfortunately our Troopys lift up roof is a bit older than yours and it can leak around the seams a bit with blowing rain. Not an issue up north though on sunny warm days. 😂😂😂😂
@fatmanoverlanding Жыл бұрын
Such a wonderful experience for you both for it to snow. It does not normally snow in November. But in odd occasions, when the winds blow from the south, it brings extremely cold temperatures from Antarctica which will produce snow. Even as far north as the Barrington Tops in NSW.
