The entire team is in the midst of a rapid decline among their stars. Harper being set to experience the most drastic decline from both lost time due to his constant injuries and a noticeable loss of bat speed, without which he's a strike out machine and a liability. Anyone who remembers how awful Ryan Howard was in the final five years or so and having to play due to the bad contract, can expect the same loss of power and lack of production from Harper moving forward. Turner is still above average at the plate but lacks desire and heart and is a complete butcher defensively. Schwarber is still a force. Realmuto is completely cooked as a hitter and above average behind the plate. Stott is AAAA on his very best day. Bohm's late season decline was due to injury and he still makes contact with gap to gap power. Unfortunately he's immature and a head case. The starting pitching is possibly a strength but Aaron Nola and his 92 MPH fast ball has regressed to a marginal #4. Rojas had a sub .600 OPS and belongs nowhere near a major league roster. Stubbs the same. Castellanos is good as the #6 or 7 hitter. Marsh can't hit left handed pitching and is barely average against RHP. He's just a guy, go or stay makes no difference. Marsh is more concerned with hair and beard as a brand than improving himself as a player. I can't remember the LF they picked up but if I remember he looked to be marginally above average. That's it. They are a long shot to make the playoffs. Most likely third place in the NL East with 83 wins. We have to be honest with ourselves. This is a barely above average team in steep decline. The window has slammed shut.

As a fan of another team but respecter of the Phillies, trading R Suarez is not a great idea.

I have faith that Marsh will take the step forward that he starting to take at the beginning of last season but got hurt. When he came back from the hamstring injury he wasn't the same. He got off the hot start last year tho, looking to see that this year.

Marsh should be able to improve himself up to being barely average. He's more concerned with his hair and beard as a brand than trying to get the most out of his limited ability.

I agree that Alec Bohm had a second-half drop off, but he was as hurt for several weeks and it’s not clear he had adequate time to rehab from his injury. I agree he has maturity issues, but he can hit. The leaders on the team should provide some tough love to him and help him mature, not get rid of him. I believe is plus side is more than his down side.

Leaders on the team don't allow their entire line-up to slump an entire six weeks or during the NLDS. Leaders don't say, "These things happen". The team needs leaders.

I agree about Bohm. But otherwise this team is mostly on the wrong side of 30 and aging rapidly and the window has shut. Harper will suffer the steepest decline and is now just above average as a player. Third place NL East. 83 wins.

Season is way too long. Financial greed permeates all aspects of the sport. The absurd salaries, ticket prices, billionaire owners, and many meaningless games pretty much sums up the state of baseball. Apply this state to every major sport, and now College sports. This “golden goose” money train will derail. Question is “when”?

I will be saying this until I die: salary caps must be implemented. I can’t even watch sports anymore because all I see is cash grab after cash crab. One ticket is 80 dollars and Juan Soto just landed 765 million? This is bullshit.

The Phillies will almost certainly finish behind the Mets and the Braves and are a long shot to make the playoffs. When spring training breaks, ask yourself two questions. 1) When will Bryce Harper get injured? 2) How much time will he miss?

Ranger will probably be dealt at the trade deadline in exchange for more outfield help or just a better bat in the lineup. As for Kyle Schwarber I thought we should have traded him this offseason and the reason is because he's still very valuable to a lot of teams and to us as well. I just don't think he will stay that valuable and I think his production will start to dip. This isn't to say that I don't like Kyle Schwarber because I absolutely do it's just what we could have got for him I think is well worth more than keeping him.

YOU clearly don't understand baseball, his numbers while doing it at the leadoff position. He is only 31 yrs old. To give up 38 hr. Over 100 RBI's and over 100 walks every yr. Your not getting no value for that. And our starting lineup is #1 in MLB. Like I said, you clearly don't understand baseball.

I wouldn't get rid of Schwarbs. He's a leader for sure. As for Ranger on the other hand, I would put him in the pen. JT is a tough dude. I would see how he does this year and if he's hurting us more than helping us, then I would see what they could do to replace him.

The window is closing quickly on the Phillies, 2025 could be there last chance to win it all. The Phillies need to scout, draft & develop players something they can't do & other teams can do. The Phillies are a stupid team that spends stupid money & it shows on the field. They are not like the Yankees & Dodgers who throw good money at good players & get good results most of the time.

If the Phillies actually knew what there doin and with DD in charge they dont they would put Ranger in pen. KS cant do anything except DH which they have like 10 of them already. The bum SS is the one who has made this entire offense go to shit cauze he isnt a star player. Hes a #4 on a team
