Favorite SV Shiny memory: Having just finished my first Violet playthrough, I started playing my first Scarlet playthrough. First time going into Los Platos, crossing that bridge by the pond, something caught my eye. A Fidough that looked a little more well done than all the others. Barely 20min in, I found a full odds, dawn mark Fidough that I then used for the rest of the playthrough

Almost the exact same thing happened to me! I finished Scarlet and wanting to play the game again started Violet and found a shiny Fidough almost immediately in almost the same spot as you! It wasn’t marked but I kept it on my team

I remember in my first 10 minutes I found a shiny Fidough in Poco Path, but it was sent to my boxes, when I tried to move it I accidentally released it as I didn’t know how to move it to my party.

Best shiny memory I've got was playing with my brother on launch day and him asking me "hey, have you seen any shinies yet?" obviously I didn't yet, but he said he had seen 2 but he didn't remember them. I asked how he knew he saw 2 and he mentioned the Profile page keeps track of them. I still had zero, but we discovered he caught a shiny Tinkatot that evolved into Tinkatink accounting for his 2 shinies at the time. It was in his party after we looked through his boxes for a shiny. He never noticed it was shiny and he was using it the whole time because of the hammer difference being very unnoticeable.

My tarountula was the first shiny i ever caught in game. It was the first time i saw the Pokemon aswel so seeing it being a shiny blew my mind! Now every time i see a normal colour tarountula or spidops it feels like they are shiny hahaha

I think my best memory of Violet was during my first ever playthrough, I wandered around for ages before the first gym hoping to get randomly lucky. I ran past a group of fletchling before suddenly remembering that its shiny is really hard to notice, and since shinies don’t make a noise or sparkle in the overworld, I ran back to check that group just in case. Turns out, there was a slightly orange fletchling in that group and that’s how I caught my first shiny. No mark, but it did have amazing stats which was cool, plus it was my first ever of that particular shiny Pokémon.

My favorite S/V memory is getting to the elite four and seeing the Garchomp flying in the sky, looking very stiff, almost like a statue. That cracked me up and made my week.

My favorite SV memory... is playing through Violet blindly (no help or hints) for the first couple of weeks of release. I avoided all social media & KZbin videos just to have that "no spoilers" experience, and I loved it! No random shinies in that run (my 1st shiny was a Qwilfish in an outbreak after I beat the main story though!), but I did find my 1st full odds shiny in my Japanese!Scarlet run months later (it was a Baile!Oricorio, such a great shiny!).

Ooh. Tricky one. I reckon my favourite shiny memory from Violet has to be my first ever Masuda method hunt. Sprigatito, so far over odds I was convinced I was doing it wrong. I named it Finally!. Still use it for a raid every now and then.

My favorite yet also one of my most frustrating hunts was my shiny Staraptor. I failed it once because that stinker went way too high in the sky for any ball to reach it. It then took an entire day before getting him back and it's now my main. Edit: On my first day of the playthrough of Violet, I got a random Swablu, a random Dratini and a random Hoppip... all in one single day.

I also got a full odds shiny without looking for one. It was a shiny rockruff or however it’s spelled. I bought the game 2 months ago and got it in my first play through around after beating the flying titan somewhere in those mountain areas. Mind you this is my first Pokémon game I’ve played since Diamond and pearl when I was 11 lol. It was cool but I didn’t even use him he stays in my box as a shiny to this day

Just use an encounter power and not a shiny boost sandwich. That’s what I do and that’s how I have more then half of my shinies.

My favourite shiny is without a doubt my Roaring Moon. I was running around with level 2 dragon encounter, no herba, and at the very last minute of my fourth sandwich, he appeared. I have *never* had such a rush when finding a shiny before, it was just *amazing* Anyway, his name is Bagel and I caught him in a premier ball, but I'm thinking of finding him a brother to catch in a luxury ball at some point Second favourite is my dream ball Eiscue because the combo is just sooo gorgeous. Scarlet player, so did Masuda Method, and no joke, I got him in a staggering *9* eggs lol

Cetoddle was my first ScarVio shiny! I was on the mountain trying to watch Sawsbuck when it ran behind the battle and scared me half to death 😭 I named him Glacier and he stayed on my main team for the rest of the game :) I also have two shiny hawluchas... I love those silly birds and they both randomly appeared two days in a row lol. I'm still trying to hunt Maschiff bc I adore that line and I love the purple of their shines!

I think my favorite shiny I have in Violet is a tie between my Furret and my Cubchoo I caught Furret almost right after finishing the Teal Mask DLC. Full odds and everything. He's so silly :D As for Cubchoo I was going to go fight Ortega and I ran face-first into a full odds Cubchoo. I didn't realize it was shiny until the sparkles happened heh.

I caught 4 random full odds shiny pokemon during my first playthrough of the game. Flittle being one of them. I just started a brand new file a couple days ago to do a shiny Nuzlocke. It took me 6 hours to get my Poco Path encounter (a shiny Fletching) it took me...ten seconds for my second in South Province 1. (Closed my picnic after gathering 29 eggs turned to start hunting and BAM) A shiny Chewtle was roaring up at me. I'm currently in South Province 2 trying to get a shiny Smoliv. Praying nothing else shows up before then. Terrified of getting stuck with a male Combee

almost done with the shiny living dex of gen 9 (the maingame ones) just 3 species left not counting the starters for the same reason as you but shellos turns out to be such an pain i need 2 obliusly and while I got 1 I have like 15 phases at this point and I am pretty sure I missed some as well after shellos croagunk and seviper left (I only have scarlet so seviper is gonna be an pain) and next week when i get the physical version with the dlc on card (the first one at least) I can hunt 100 new ones. still need to compelte the forms though ugh back to hunting that stupid pink seaslug.

My Favoriten shiny Moment was when i found a full odds shiny hoppip a few minutes into the First area of the Game Just outside the House. Of course i freaked Out and cauught it and its Name ist "Pea" in honor of its Green colouring. Although that Name doesnt fit anymore since its now a paldean Champ Jumpluff. Wich also Just so happens to be the First Pokémon i ever got to Level 100 without any XP candys. Its quickly Risen to become one of my absolute favourite Pokémon of all time because of this amazing experience. Love you Pea!💚🩷
