Hi Dennis, well played. As far as putting goes, I’m a 20 handicap and have just changed to the LAB DF3, after getting used to it, (and it takes a little while) it’s unbelievable, I rarely if ever 3 putt anymore, even sunk a 30 footer a few days ago. Good luck you’re playing brilliantly compared to when you started.

Great video as always, it's been fascinating watching your golf improve, am sure soooo many golfers can relate to it, I'm a 12 handicap and live for those days when I "hit the sweet spot" , golf is such a fine balance between swing analysis and grip it and rip it, basically you need the correct muscle memory to swing freely without thinking about it (IMO) I think you're there 50% of the time, I feel you have a low 80s round in there soon...Thanks again for the video

Great video Dennis. I used to have the same problem many years ago with hitting short until my uncle Eric who was the scratch golfer put me right, he always said to me never look at the hole but look 3 inches past and ensure that you’re not lifting your head, wait for ball hitting the cup …… don’t get it right all the time, but my putting in the past few years has been so much better after these wise words….never be afraid to go past the hole…..

it is remarkable how similar our games are. I've been playing for just over a year and usually shoot around 90, somtimes a bit lower, sometimes a bunch higher. I appreciate how you can completely lose your swing and then get it back in the same 9 hateing and loving the game simaltaneously. keep it up

In very close to breaking 90 atm been hitting low 90s consistently and the main keys have been hitting baby draw drives and staying on the fairway and being a more consistent putter. My wedge iron and woods are all decent. Dripping them putts and limiting 3 putts is key. Good stuff mate

@@eonstot I’m lucky enough to have played around with the whole Takomo iron setup. I’m a guy who loves to see an aesthetically pleasing iron, I hate big chunky ‘improvement’ iron head shapes personally so pretty much the whole lineup is suitable to my eye. The 301CB felt surprisingly more forgiving and plenty forgiving enough. And I just fell in love with them

Hi Dennis, couple of questions! Where is your 2 iron? There were at least two holes dog leg right which it seems a 2 iron was a better choice than the 5 wood that leaks left. Other question is about your grip, What grip do you use? I've been recently to a fitting where I was able to fix most of my left misses by changing the grip thickness

The 2 iron has been out the bag recently as I’m trying to work on driver. But you make a good point, it could act as my 3wood 👍

Dennis I was a 8 handicap for most of my 30-40s based solely on my putting, the only part of my game I worked on, my driving was like a 28, irons like a 10 chipping like 5 putting like scratch after my accident, hit by a bus I cant chip or putt, back spasms, now off 28 but still enjoy a few games in the summer

Just a bit of advice , you need to use the tee box better , use the left hand side and aim a bit more right if you are drawing the ball or use the righthandsideand aim straight, it gives a better option of keeping it in the fairway. You always tee up in the middle.

You hit an iron shot 100% perfect and it is slighly long and your conclusion is you should hit less club? In same sentence that you say almost all your approaches are short... hope you see the fault in that logic because this is one of the most common errors in golf. If you hit 12 short 6 ok and 0 long then by adding a club or two on every approach shot then yes you will hit a few long, but usually you will hit more greens because the short ones go longer and how many times do you hit it 100% pure? For instance 8 short 8 ok and 2 long instead.🎉

@BogeyGolfUK yeah i know the feeling. One want to hit good shots not expect bad ones :) It is a bit easier if the green is long. Then one can say to oneself that aiming for back of green or behind flag. Another way to trick your mind is to think that can take it a bit easier. No need to "kill the ball" with an extra club. Which will rarely give shorter distance because less tension and better tempo and strike. So for many it also decreases the amount of bad shots.

Great tee shots there Dennis. If you have time, get Dan Grieves 3 releases book and watch the videos. I saved approx 6 shots a round where i miss greens like you do. I regularly 1 putt or max 2 with his technique and it's not too hard to get the hang of it. Best of luck 🏌️⛳🏌️
