I had the MPE on my 240 and the res delete completely changed the exhaust after, its so hard to actually capture how incredible it actually is over video. PCW done mine, unreal mate. Top vid again!

100% if you dont have the MPE back box it still makes a difference....check out my M140i Manual or Auto vid. The sunset orange M140i has a res delete on standard back box....

Hey Joe! Yes it makes a nice sound with a small mod. Bet it makes the M2C sound mad! Using a GoPro Hero 7 for in car footage.....a Sony RX100 V for the outside shots.....

After a year, how do you like it? What’s the sound like in comfort mode? Any droning? I want a bit more sound and pops but still want the thing to shut up in comfort mode. 440i GC btw but that shouldn’t matter much, same engine.

I also deleted the 2 silencers on my 440i and edited the end box a bit. the sound is very good, bmw should have done it.

No idea, give it a try and let me know....I've never tried that on my cars. I've found a full cat back system more droney and full turbo back system more smelly and noisy

Congratulations on your purchase. A res delete will make it louder but be careful as you have a Petrol Particulate Filter also. I do think though....on a E400 why would you want to ruin it by a res delete....? But it's your car and your rules lol.

Was this a complete mid pipe replacement? Or cutting the existing mid pipe to remove the resonator / silencer? I’m leaning towards the latter as I have nowhere to store the OEM midpipe if I replace the full thing.

Excellent video mate. I'M awaiting the delivery of my BCS Midpipe (double res delete) to go with my MPE. Did you experience any drone? I find the MPE on the 140 is a little muted as standard. Hopefully I'll get cracks on the upshift.

Mate, just do them both....one makes no difference. Yes it does affect fuel economy because you will always be trying to get the noise out! Good luck!

Cat delete would cause more (unpleasant) noise in my opinion. A red delete makes the sound more apparent during acceleration but no drone during a constant cruise. I think if I had a cat back straight pipe that would cause more drone. There's 2 resonators in the M140i and I only deleted one of them to make sure there was no drone

Yes....from underneath....the cats are still in place, then effectively it's a straight pipe (both resonators deleted) and then the back box is in tact.

My car doesn't have the PPF as its 2017. It was the two silencers in the middle of the exhaust. Rear box was not removed. No error codes

Invest in a machine polisher something like a DAS6 dual action perfect for beginners and it will take away those annoying hair line scratches with some decent polish!

It's not a MOT failure because it still complies with the emissions and it was not decatted. I did have put it through an inspection on the exhaust sound and emissions after the res delete at an independent garage to see and there was no issues....

Peter benn pan the car is extremely efficient for what it is. I had an e92 330d averaging 40mpg on my commute without trying. I drive my 140 achieving 42mpg in eco pro which is incredible, the journey is must be clear though because if you hit traffic and allot of stop start I’m seeing 35mpg. All in all I’m spending the same on fuel as petrol is cheaper and literally I couldn’t care less about fuel cost when I’m passing people in m4’s it’s all worth it every penny

Peter benn pan I’ve not done a proper test of this but when I fill up my range is displayed at about 350 miles and I reckon I fill up every 300-20 miles currently. To put things into perspective I’m taking my car into BMW on Monday and they have promised to fill my car up with a full tank of fuel as part of a deal I have done with them (don’t ask) I filled up the car with a full tank Thursday just gone, and I’ve been driving it in sport mode knowing that I need to use all my fuel up by Monday lol, I’m currently on half a tank and I have done 150 miles I would say in sport mode... meaning I’m booting it unnecessarily. The thing is I find the fuel goes down at the same rate for both eco and sport modes so although I drive it in eco mode to work I know that every little bit of acceleration i do will counter act that mode completely. If your serious about buying one you need to budget for £80 a week fuel whatever type of driving you are doing.
