Maybe he is already on Faraway Island, being sent there by Oak to research the Pokemon living there, and its here he discovers the concept of Pokemon Eggs.

In regards to where it would start, Pokemon Origins and also the first movie already did this. Dr Fuji was working on the Mewtwo project and then after retiring he spent many years in Lavender Town as Mr Fuji taking care of injured Pokemon. He was a young-middle aged adult at that point and the games (and Origins) depicts him as elderly. I'd say it's closer to 30 maybe even 40 years.

Problem with a Young Oak is that Lance and Giovanni are probably not even born/too young to be battled (Oaks in his fifties/sixties, while Lance is in his twenties and Giovanni is probably in his thirties or fourties). So you probably would battle Madame Boss instead, although she is only a thing in the anime (So that in itself is a tad problematic).

Legends Arceus was a good introduction as a new main series game that's why if they plan to make more, they should make each game unique to that region. I always liked the idea of (re)discovering Kanto as Oak/Agatha in their younger years as rivals, making a catalogue of all pokemon in an effort to create what will be known as Pokedex, and witness history, legends as they unfold. I would love to play that.

Love the idea of a Kanto game that takes place in the auxiliary areas and opens the region in post. I've had the idea for a while they should do an ocean based game Pokémon Orange. You'd travel between various pacific islands, essentially, maybe with Alola open or even the port cities of any region. This prequel idea is awesome, though, and perfect for how you want to utilize Mewtwo.

Cool idea and I thought of one for a more ancient version: Pokémon legends kanjoh/johkan You come from hisui to show off the pokeball laventon invented and clans that become johto and kanto rule over one area but burnt tower creates tension and you watch the clans separate and you discover what really happened and stop a battle on Mt. Silver causing a treaty to where that Mt. Silver is shared ground and the border is made via mountain ranges and it ends with the beasts being set free in johto when they were previously under control by kanto clan and birds released in kanto but were originally under johto to show the treaty so the tower that becomes the radio tower is erected for lugia and the Pokémon tower erected for Ho-oh.

Pokemon Legends Mewtwo should have an epilogue where Red, Blue and Leaf would be given birth as newborn babies with Leaf being Rory and Red's cousin. Also, for the Gym Leaders and their relatives, Brock would appear as a little boy whose father acts as the curator of the Pewter Museum, Misty's mother would appear as a professional swimmer who would later give birth to Misty, Lt. Surge would appear as a young drill sergeant who would later promote to lieutenant, Erika would appear as the newborn daughter of a traditional Japanese florist who's flower shop would later become the Celadon Gym, Koga would appear as a young man who would also be appointed head of his ninja clan and would later gain a daughter named Janine, Sabrina as a little girl would appear as a lab rat testing out her psychokinesis using her minds, Blaine would also work as a colleague of Oak and Fuji who would also do some research at the Cinnabar Mansion and Giovanni would appear as a proud father living with his wife Ariana and young daughter Mars who would later have Silver as her little brother. And also for the Kanto Elite Four, Lorelei would become Misty's teacher as a Water/Ice trainer, Bruno as Brock's uncle would also become his teacher as both a Rock/Fighting trainer and a Zen meditator, Agatha as Oak's former rival would become Sabrina's teacher as a magician and Lance would appear as Rory and Daisy's main rival at becoming the greatest trainer on Earth which could also inspire Daisy's little brother Blue to follow in Lance's footsteps at becoming the strongest trainer around. I would love for a legends Kanto setting to be set right after legends Johto, having it be post game would be awesome. After the creation of the legendary beasts, the professor character would tell you about how they were seen escaping over the indigo mountains to the less civilised part of Tohjo in the east. There would be some settlements like an early vermillion city. And in the plot you would track the beasts across the region, learn about the mysterious mew and also help people from western tohjo make settlements in the east. The cherry on top would be the game ending with the formation of the first Pokémon training dojo’s which will in the future become gyms and the first Pokémon league.

While I'm ok with exploring Kanto more in the post game, or at least a few key areas like, say, Saffron City and seeing it still having a Fighting Dogo gym, I like the idea of the meat of the game actually occurring on islands. Along with Mew Island, Cinnabar Island could be the central hub instead of Pallet, maybe with the introduction of the game happening in Pallet before moving to Cinnabar where we know most of the scientific research is being done. Then, you can also incorporate the Seafoam Islands as well to round out the areas. Maybe there could be three major Seafoam Island areas to explore, one that is full of frozen caves, one where there seems to always be tropical storms ravaging it, and one that has an active volcano and natural hot springs. You can see where I'm heading with this, trying to learn more about the legendary Mew, Mr. Fuji asks you to explore more about the other legendaries of Kanto, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Maybe playing into the whole "Legends" thing, you can't actually catch the legendary birds the first time you meet them, you have to subdue them so Mr. Fuji can collect data on them. This could also be a little wink wink towards the Pokémon Movie 2000.

It followed the plot of the war that Surge and a few other folks played into, which Fuji, Oak, Blaine, and Giovanni all played a role in-which ultimately led to the creation of mewtwo I think. I wouldn't call this idea a Legends game. It would be more of a prequel. What about the war that Lt. Surge rants about? And if we went with a Legends game, why not have a Johto and Kanto mix, since they feel like two halves of the same coin? It could give lore on the 5 legendary birds, show the creation of the legendary beast, and have post game Sinjoh Temple. This could also explore the idea of the creation of the Ancient Mew carving on the Far Away island. There are a ton of possibilities.

I could see a world where theres a preserved area of far away island that has "real" versions of the fossil pokemon. This could also tie into some sidequests around Cinnebar once that area is unlocked. Maybe in the story - they try and stop people going to far away island for the safety of the pokemon. Perhaps also make a nod to the pokemon movie where mewtwo wipes ash's memory / looks after an island of cloned pokemon. The Lab is then a research facility trying to bring back the fossils in their true forms but havent managed so. Mewtwo being in his cave and the fossils being their in lets go could also somehow be tied

Cliff-hanger suggestion is that there are actually two Mewtwo clones, you capture one (maybe a variation) and the other escapes, becoming the main continuity Mewtwo. It would be cool if they made a Legends Kanto game chronicling the Creation of Mewtwo but if it ever happens, it would also be cool if they took the opportunity to add a few new pokémon and evolutions, mostly work with Kanto. Completely new pokémon, I would love to see: - Genefis, Rock/Water type. Genefis is a fossil fish pokémon and said to be amongst the first pokémon to have lived. A popular prey pokémon for apex predator pokémon like Kabuto and Kabutops, the pokémon would adapt and evolve into Exodefis. Genefis is based on a statue we see in the anime episode, Fossil Fools. Here, we see Kabutops put his sickle claws into an extinct fish pokémon that yet has to become an official pokémon so it could work. A fossil of this on Faraway Island, could be the perfect way to introduce this pokémon. - Exodefis, Rock/Steel type. Exodefis is a fossil pokémon and the evolved form of Genefis. In order to survive, Genefis evolves into Exodefis, leaving the sea for land and taking on a more salamander-like appaerance while switching its Water type for a steel typing, becoming more fortified against the likes of Kabutops. It is based on the evolutionary theory of how sea life adapted to survive on land. - Jotnorn, Psychic/Dark type. Legendary Pokémon, Jotnorn appears as a small, cute looking bear pokémon. Though innocent at first glance, Jotnorn is a michievous pokémon who can alter his seize to a form refered to as Jotnorn Titan Form. In this form, not only his seize increases but he also gains black markings. Legends say that Jotnorn can bestow this power on objects that when they are close to certain pokémon, they too can reach Titan form. Due to this, it is speculated that there is a connection between Jotnorns Titan Form and the Dynamax phenomena from Galar but nothing is proven. Even its existence is up for debate amongst scholars. Jotnorn is based on the little bear statue Brock finds in the anime in The Puzzle of Pokémopolis and its abilites are off course based on the giant forms for Alakazam, Gengar and Jigglypuff. - Kragandor, Water/Dragon type. Legendary Pokémon, Kragandor is said to be the biggest Water Pokémon in the world, even longer than Wailord, though accounts of it are scarce. Its appearance is also clouded in mysterious as most accounts often only describe a large purple fin, cleaving through the water surface. It is however only spotted around Faraway Island and particularly in Kanto, amongst water trainers, is there a big ambition to be the first to capture this Pokémon. This would be the pokémon Misty saw in her vision of the future, in the Pokémon episode Enlighten Up. New Evolutions, I would love to see: - Hraesrow: Ghost/Flying type and the evolved form of Fearow, using the Obsidian Claw item. Hreasrow is said to have a link with the afterlife and has a certain rivalry with Pidgeot. By the end of the game about an extinct species due to creation of Mewtwo using up the only deposit of Obsidian Claw known. - Sifopa: Poison type and the evolved form of Arbok, using the Obsidian Claw item. The King of Serpents Pokémon, Sifopa is considered to be very temperamental Pokémon and requires a firm hand by its trainer as a weak trainer might never see the sunrise again. Extinct by the end of the game. - Pegadash: Fire/Flying Type and the evolved form of Kantoan Rapidash, after visiting the Cave of Wonders on Faraway Island. Pegadash is amongst the most magical and majestic pokémon one can own, with a fiery temper but incredible loyality. It is also a perfect way to get around. Considered virtually extinct species after the collapse of the Cave. - Sir Mime: Psychic/Fairy Type and the evolved form of Kantoan Mr. Mime, after visiting the Cave of Wonders on Faraway Island. Sir Mime is a true gentleman towards its trainer but don't mistake his respectful attitude for weakness, as he would be quick to put you in an invisible box. Considered virtually extinct species after the collapse of the Cave. - Ha-Jynx: Ice/Psychic type and the evolved form of Jynx, after visiting the Cave of Wonders on Faraway Island. Ha-Jynx is a trickster Pokémon, using their icy and psychic abilities for prank style endeavours. It is a playful pokémon but still can pack quite a punch. - Sphynty: Dark/Normal type and a branched evolution for Skitty, using the Obsidian Claw Item. Sphynty is still a playful cat pokémon but more aggressive in its attacks. It is a bit more bulky than when it was Skitty but it did gain two small wings on its back. Extinct by the end of the game, though a statue depicting Sphynty would be gifted to the Pewter Gym. (as in Pokémon: Origins) A new type of Pokémon: Failed Clone Pokémon (all based on cut pokémon designs/evolutions) - Mewtwo (offcourse): clone of Mew - Gorochu: a clone of Raichu. - Pinchore: a clone of Pinsir (based on the cut pokémon: Plux). - Laprine: a clone of Lapras (based on the cut Pokémon: Akueria)

I would say the way you track mew down is by taking pictures in certain areas and trying to find a blurry orb in the pictures where it starts off far in the distance and the closer you get to mew the closer the orb gets to you until you get to the final picture you need to take where it's right up close to the camera and when you exit the function mew is right in front of you and then BOOM cut scene

I feel like this sounds like a plot for a Pokemon Fire Red Rom Hack. I mean it sounds interesting and retcons some stuff. I think one key element about it that is interesting is that it IS different. It takes the idea of what fans think "Legends" games are about, and subverts the idea to be about untapped wilds. Personally I love the historical elements of Pokemon, and I'd probably much rather be interested in seeing a 1960s reconstruction era (feeling) Kanto, where maybe we instead play as a young Mr. Fuji, or work directly with a young Mr. Fuji (and a Young Geovanni), maybe Samuel Oak is our rival, maybe it is at the start of the construction of the Pokemon league. I also would just like to see more of a Guyana influence... in the pokemon, and the ideas, and the politics. I don't know that it should be so easy to just go back to Kanto either, Japan and Guyana don't even share an ocean after all. There isn't really much gameplay in this concept, so it isn't something that gets my attention as much/ it really feels like something you could do in a Fire Red Rom Hack... but to contribute gameplay ideas (Although, I feel like this makes it feel more SV like) is that making the Berserk Gene could be part of the challenge, studying Guyana initially to find the king of that Jungle sending you to defeat or capture every Territorial Titan in the far away island, and collect a DNA sample of them, only to eventually discover that ruling over all these new ferocious Pokemon has been Mew the whole time, and leading to the endgame of retrieving Mew DNA sample and going throw the whole Rocket reveal of the scam that eventually made them into a superpower that runs the Kanto underworld. It also might be fun to have you similarly make friends with the Guyana-region people, learn new ancient techniques passed by their people with specific pokemon to allow them to better travel these wilds, as well as them opening up more sacred areas to you as foreign explorers.

Make it Oak and Agatha, with Fuji as a rival. Make it about filling the Pokédex for the first time, and Fuji being so obsessed with Mew that in the post game he uses DNA from your Mew to create a clone. Make it explore the ethics of all this and the wonder of filling the first Pokédex.

What about a Legends game in the time period just before or just after one of the many wars or other legendary events we've heard about? You could travel freely between the two or even three regions. Plus we always hear about how legendary and mythical Pokemon show up around these conflicts, so there would be reasons for them to be around. Introducing some kind of choice mechanic would be cool and a way of adding replayability and even exclusivity-maybe your choices in game eventually lock you out of one region or another so you have to trade to finish your Dex (or a precursor called the Catalog or something). Maybe you see and affect the story that leads to the war without affecting the outcome of war itself, and maybe even by finding or proving yourself to a legendary or mythical you and it bring the conflict to an end.

Cinnabar Island could be a base camp of sorts, and I could see some Sevii Islands showing up as explorable areas after getting the ability to surf. I could also imagine a Faraway form of Mew that has the Berserk Gene itself. It would likely take aspects of Berserk Mewtwo, but with more control over its form, and looking less segmented. It could have a special ability shared with Mewtwo that triggers the Berserk Gene effect every time it enters battle.

Great video, have you seen the trailer for the matcha pokemon for the scarlet and violet dlc. We all know pokemon can be dark, but they seem to embrace it. Usually the trailers are fun and uplifting, but they took a different route this time but still a good trailer for the dlc.

It would be cool if after the credits rolled, there was a secret ending showing team rocket creating another mewtwo. Solidifying the theory that there are multiple mewtwo out there. Also if there were multiple failed clones that turned into ditto, just bringing in another popular theory. The only thing I would suggest if daisy is a playable character, is that there needs to be some way to have daisy release her mewtwo or something. Or maybe the player is the one that leaves mewtwo in the cerulean cave. I doubt she'd just be chilling at her house during the events of red/blue with a mewtwo in her back pocket.

With you for most of it, but should be a fledgling Rocket grunt as the player character instead, assigned to helping Fuji. Could even be topped off with the cherry of a player choice at the end, one is to leave Rocket via helping Mewtwo escape after giving him some kind of antidote, or helping Team Rocket by equipping the control armor on him.

A concept i suspect would be interwsting but also controversal is doing the rumored pokemon war that happened in Kanto. This way it can be easily explained away as to where all the dads are as well as give Lt. Surge a bigger role (he could be a 2nd in command of the enemy team that turns traitor after being shown a different story). If you really wanna heavy hand it then it could be loosly based off of the USA vs Japan war but this time USA(Kalos) use their Legendary dragon (the true dragon) as their final attack but the fact that Lt. Surge had been having second thoughts about the operation, it could cause the dragon to split into two. The post game could still be about the creation of mew but this time it was spearheaded by the army as, on the surface, they hope to have a powerful pokemon of their own to oneday help protect their region if it comes under threat again.

You go find Mew, and he turns into Mewtwo. So I’d love to see what you do in this game like in Arceus when you have the noble Pokemon and the pearl and emerald teams

I think my tier list for legends games goes as follows: 1) Hoenn. The primordial battle between land and sea is a great concept. And following the "IGN 7/10; too much water," having some underwater locations that fill out the region would be great. Underwater exploration would be a great step forward. 2) Unova. The development of the most technologically advanced region we've seen would be a fantastic form of world building, especially seeing how the object style pokemon used to look before they changed to coexist with their modern versions. 1) Kalos. Obviously, the story will revolve around AZ's machine. There isn't more to say about that. 4) Alola. They're the most tied to their ancestral roots so seeing their past would be interesting. 5) Jhoto. Simply for witnessing the tower fire 6) Kanto. Over loved and over explored 7-8) Galar and Paldea. Too new to be explored in the legends way

The point about them not wanting to retcon in regional formes is exactly why my own ideal Legends Mew would take place in the FUTURE of Kanto, possibly the somewhat far future, but it doesn't need to be that far really, just far enough past the Johto games on the timeline that it would make sense for various later-gen mons to have, much like Kanto-native Pokemon that represent invasive species in Alola, been introduced externally to the Kanto region and adapted to its new environment.

I think a game set in Kanto's future could also have a bit of Pokemon's usual level of political commentary, with the reason for the region having a different appearance so that it feels more fresh and more freely traversible being that changing climates have rendered certain parts of the landscape uninhabitable for various reasons (maybe rather than the realistic sorts of weather patterns and floods we'll see in reality, it's due to some increased activity of the legendary birds, with Zapdos causing a constant thunderstorm in the northeast, a sustained drying heat wave in the west courtesy of Moltres, and Articuno causing a permafrost drowning out the south -- alternatively, new regional variants are the ones causing disruptions like those), while the inland infrastructure-rich settlements would have become even more metropolitan as refugees massed together where it's safe, with a retrofuturistic style to them - I could see Celadon and Saffron merging into one huge mega-city that would be your Jubilife-like hub, with most of the other settlements either being wiped away or facing active environmental threats. Trying to fight these climate changing effects would be part of the story as you'd be trying to make the Kanto region inhabitable again, but it'd also mean there could be plenty of different biomes to explore that Kanto doesn't already have, along with melancholy reminders that what was once here were quaint nostalgic little places like Pallet Town. And finally, setting it into a bit of a sci-fi future allows for the game's final boss Pokemon to not be Mewtwo, but the long awaited Mewthree. I know it's the most classic and kinda stupid fanfic idea to have a Mewthree, but that's kind of exactly why I think it'd be perfect for a Legends game, since it's been rumored for literally decades.

I think the title would be better as "legends mew" have the main story even placed 10-20 years in the past. The main goal being to find artifacts about mew or DNA samples, could even see the early start of team rocket. You'd get the opportunity to catch the normal pokemon of kanto the starters included. Every couple rest cycles has you venturing to the far away island

Something that does get under my skin with Legends games is how many would assume all can be in the past. Few are entirely unable to whether there's no reason to or just too far in the past to work. Unova and Kanto being ones that can't go far back. Jhoto can however and may even follow suit for a past version of Kanto. Hoenn can be in a tough spot and Galar would be extremely rich in lore next to Kalos. Paldea would need to wait out for a bit. If Legend games are taking a darker tone for the story, then a Legends Unova could be that Ghetsis starts going overdrive with his plans and while succeeding, massively fails due to his shortsightedness of how dangerous the Original Dragon can be.

There’s just one problem: according to the journals in Pokemon Mansion the team that put Mewtwo together had already captured a Mew. Not having a Mew prior to the experiment and in fact sending the player to go capture one after the fact doesn’t make canonical sense.

It'll be funny if in the post-game when trying to find Mew the first stop will be at the truck on the dock of Vermillion City. Then it vanishes to its next stop. I like to say there will be five stops because of how mischievous Mew can be.

I'd probably say during the story, you'd see glimpses and hints of Giovanni, being that he was the one who wanted Mewtwo created and simply HIRED Fuji to make him since he wanted the funding and research to clone his deceased daughter, Amber, and maybe see a darker side of Kanto, with Team Rocket running amok before Red came to take him out, and Fuji struggling to keep his mind straight between making Mewtwo and wanting the best for his child. Perhaps you shouldn't catch Mewtwo, but instead subdue it, after defeating Giovanni with his Mecha-Powered up Mewtwo, like how we see it in the Pokemon Movie, and maybe make a promise that he won't harm anyone, with the help of Mew, leading him to find solitude in Cerulean Cave, setting up for his Capture in many of the later games, like R/B/Y.

Now I really want to see your predictions for a Pokemon legends Alola and the story would obviously focus around the origins of Necrozma and how the blinding one lost all of its light. And I think the plot twist for this is that the reason why it lost its light was because it became power hungry like Garitina and Arceus had no choice but to drain Necrozma's light to put a halt to it's quest for greed.
