Always felt I understood this game better than most, good at positioning, decision making, etc. but I've been held back by my lack of mechanical skills. Watched so many videos about getting better, tried so many different training exercises that would supposedly help, but none of them did. Squishy's advice here to try to hit the ball just as it bounces in freeplay, after trying it for myself for a little while, is definitely the advice I've been needing. It really is a lot harder than it looks, and I'm confident I'll become a much better player if I can master it. Thanks :)

They could try to do their best, but you won't let them win anyways :))) you're being fair, don't mistake me, but don't think they can't spot your actual skills. the teaching value is great still for your viewers. @@YoBrand15 that's funny you say that. I'm a kbm player and not to stroke my ego too much but I'd say I'm quite high in terms of mechanical skills for a kbm player. That's thanks to spending a lot of time in Freeplay and training packs. With that said I'll never be able to replicate the mechanical skills of a controller player cause it just isn't possible. The sheer speed advantage, how fast you can execute inputs is not manageable with kbm. Recently I started playing again after a 3 year break and now I play much more wisely and defensively. It's insane how much value I get from analyzing my teammates playstyle. Most of the time I just let them do their thing and it works. If they screw up I'm not scared to play defense. Learning shadow defense and 1v1 techniques is honestly one of the best things you can implement into 2s and 3s. Cause when your teammates are still recovering you have to be able to stall for time and potentially make a safe. I really recommend doing those training packs where you have to save the ball that's coming from behind you.
@YoBrand1511 ай бұрын
@Pekara121 I mean I'm decent mechanically. I'm very good defensively, bounce dribbles, shadow defense, etc. By not mechanical I mean I'm not good at air dribbling or flip resets, and I'm not consistent with dribbling and flicks. I mean I'm still champ, the way I am champ is by just being a good teammate and positioning/rotating. The worst teammates for me are ones that are very good mechanically but horrible at rotating or positioning. But I just dont have the time for practicing. I just get right into ranked. So its hard for me to improve mechanically. Kbm I'd argue is just as fast with input, but where it's a disadvantage is the micro movements. Much harder to air dribble. I've tried controller and I can actually air dribble better despite very little olay time lol. But it would take too much time to get the muscle memory down so it's not worth switching to me.
