Seeing how likely Belle could be Jane's ancestor, its my belif that when the French Revolution kicked off Belle and Beast took most of their wealth and fled to England where they and their descendants continued to live an upper class life. This could probably be why Jane brought so much luxury items with her including fancy hats and dresses during her expedition to Africa and why she owned a tea set that matches Mrs Potts and Chip because she inherited them from Belle.

I do not view Descendants as canon, but here is my headcanon on Belle's future. She had a son - Prince Alexandre - before the French Revolution started. As soon as Beast and Belle found out, they quit their title as King and Princess. They had already turned some parts of their castle into a hospital, they expanded the library, fed the poor, helped anyone in need, etc. which made the nearby villagers quite the opposite of violent against them. The couple avoided fighting. They provided a safe haven for anyone wounded, hurt, or abandoned from either side. But, they did subtly enough, that those who rebelled and those who were rebelled against did not know that they were hiding in the same sanctuary, side by side. As it progressed, they had another child, a daughter: Lady Catherine, she would come to be known. The two children grew, and, as the revolution came to an end, a third child was born - another girl, Nadeleine. The couple kept their castle a safe haven, sanctuary, hospital, educational center, etc. but their money was not unlimited. They did not wish to tax greatly the people of their territory, and by the time two more children had been born - two boys, Ignatius and Basil - and the younger of them reached the age of five, they were out of resources. At this time, Alexandre was of twenty years. He had found himself a respectable wife, and yet - due to the hatred the peoples felt for the nobles - was struggling to survive. Beast and Belle were forced to sell their castle, and moved in to a small cottage. Every day, they barely had enough to eat. Perhaps their death would've come quickly, if not for one young man: Francis. His father Lucien had fought in the revolution, and would have died if not for the couples welcoming home. Now, Lucien held a high position in the new court, and his son also. Now they had come to support those who had once saved them. So the Beast's family lived with Francis' family for a while. He was a lord. Catherine, at the time, was seventeen, and Francis was nineteen. They fell in love and were married within a year. Time went on, and - with the help of their eldest daughter's new marriage - the couple regained it's former wealth. They re-opened their castle to all in need and lived on happily to the end of their days...

You do realize that the Name Adam means “Man”. So, it is an ironic choice of Name for The Prince, aka, The Beast! Also, Beauty and The Beast is a very similar story to The Phantom of The Opera! With a Villain named Gaston, and Belle’s Horse named Philippe, I wonder if Beauty and The Beast was trying to do a mixture of Phantom of The Opera in the story. Gaston Leroux was the Author of the original The Phantom of The Opera Novella, and Philippe was The Vicomte Raoul de Chagny’s older Brother in the original story. So, could this be an intentional slight mixing of these two very similar stories? Either way, Bravo, Disney!

According to the opening of descendants 1, they got married and invited 6,000 of their “closest personal friends”, and they had a really big cake 🎂👰🏽🌹. I find it kind of selfish though that they made fairy godmother make them the rulers of everyone one and everything in the disney universe! They also brought the dead villains back to life forever and trapped all of the villains, dead and alive, on the isle of the lost and thief innocent children! I imagine to wonder what is like after Belle and her prince had a happy ending in beauty and the beast so to say Belle and Maurice moved into Prince Adam's castle with Philippe and their belongings after sold their cottage home to new owners. they'll going to miss their old home for it has been Belle's childhood since but they'll still remember it, Belle is going to learn everything to be a princess before she marries Adam with books from the castle library to work hard, Maurice and Adam seem to get along with each other even as after Adam made amends to apologize to Maurice for his bad actions on him and Belle Maurice accepts his apology as forgiving him too just need time well with a big scar to heal of course to spend time and get to know one another before Maurice accepting Adam as his future son-in-law to give his bride daughter away to Adam, Adam's servants were so happily in the castle as being humans again after the curse has been finally broken while the royal guards straighten up to guard the castle proudly, the prince at last showing his face in public again in the kingdom of France freely to go outside the castle to really enjoy his new life with Belle unlike his dark past of the way he used to be that is, some recognized him since he was a young boy didn't liked him of his past bad behavior having no desire to do anything with him some gave him a second chance Adam have to go through it all to be a wise and good future king someday after he learned from his mistakes as he had being the beast, turns out the prince is the long-lost heir to the French throne as the son of France's beloved deceased king and queen now he has returning to claim his rightful heir by being a better good ruler to all his court and subjects because of the love of his life Belle, Belle always wanted to have a library in the village along with the bookshop to become a librarian besides being a future princess and queen with Adam's help the village library has been built the grand opening so everyone can get good education not just the village school, as for the villagers well last time wasn't good when they misjudge Belle, Maurice and Adam who was the beast with this horrible no good bad guy wicked Gaston he's gone dead anyway so they now knew that. For Belle, Maurice, Adam and the servants they remained kind and compassionate to forgive the villagers of their bad ignorant judgment even the villagers made apology amends to them everything worked out well between them, as for Lefou , Gaston's other buddies and the blonde village girls learning of Gaston's death they decided to move on from the event to go on with their every day provincial lives Lefou and Gaston's other buddies doesn't want to do with Belle and everyone who are with her only completely ignoring her and them focusing on themselves as for the blonde village girls looks like they starting to like Belle and her new town's library Belle start to like them as well becoming friends with Lumiere's girlfriend Fifi who used to be the feather-duster compared as almost sisters.

Yes! This video goes on and on about things that would not have happened in that time period and it became a bit annoying by the time it ended! I also think that the man with the bookshop would be a better choice as a librarian, if he wanted to do that. I see Belle more in a teaching role. Since the spell has lifted, people in the village would remember that the prince was not so nice back before the spell was cast so I could see that they might work on making amends and becoming a part of things.
