For safety, please don't leave your bag or any valuable or look like valuable item inside your car, not even coins on your seat, theft might break-into your car by breaking your car's window, and steal it. Hide it under your car seat or inside car bonnet if have to. Anything that is visually can be seen tru the car's window is at risk. Please be extra careful and be alert all the time. I hope you rent the car from a valid 'Rent Car' Company. Get some advices directly from your trusted friends in Malaysia. Just worried both of you, especially when driving on Malaysia's road.

The orange colour paste they put in the laksa is "Sambal Nyiok" or Coconut Sambal. In Kedah, coconut (kelapa) is also called "nyiok". Laksa Teluk Kechai is famous in Kedah, very happy you both can try it. 😃 Kedah is the "Rice Bowl" of Malaysia, most of our rice is produced in Kedah. Even the laksa noodles is made locally by the laksa stall from "pulut" (glutinuous rice or mochi). If you go to Alor Setar do visit Pekan Rabu and try the "Dodol" which has 2 flavours: Brown sugar and Durian. It is also made from mochi and is very famous.

Hey Jimmy and Ichang. The back windscreen should not break that easy - it should have cracked and not break like a glass. This might due to improper installation ( maybe it was replaced before or not long before you guys rented it ) Plus I slammed my boot/ trunk most of the time and that didnt happen. My car is almost 9 years old and temperature in Malaysia is always hot outside and cold inside the car but this never happens. Well anyway, glad that it didnt happen when you guys are driving and glad you guys enjoyed the food! Hehe 😁 Stay safe!

Due to high temperature and compressed hot air in the car compared to the outside, this will easily happen again. There are a lot of this incident happen around Malaysia especially when they park at the open space area at noon. Tip, always lower down just a bit of the window (Driver's side and passenger's side) to allow hot air to sip out and not creating pressure inside the car.

Go ahead and travel on those dates. But you don't have to travel too far. Just around your area and a little bit further, just to witness how the election is held in the country. That can be a good content for you guys. Start with seeing how the early risers (read: the uncles and aunties 😂 hahah!) go to queue very early to cast their votes, then you adjourn to a nice local eatery for a very nice local breakfast. After that you proceed to a different area to witness how the younger voters now have gotten out of bed and starting to cast their votes too. Then you can end the video with who win the 2-3 different areas you covered earlier

Most important of all, both of you are safe. You were not in the car and you were not driving when it happened. Quite likely a small sharp stone hit the rear windscreen already, leaving a small crack. When you closed the rear door, the force then shattered the glass. I was shocked, too. But I'm also shocked you had to pay for damages. Please read the car rental terms and conditions and see whether borrower is the one who has to pay.

Thankfully no one was sitting there and I was at the back seat. The Majlis Perbandaran had to repay us and we asked for the MP's number from the grass cutter. The rental car company charge you RM370 but normally for new car, they could have bought insurance on the windscreen and they replace it for free. Anyway, they have to pay for the windscreen yearly insurance premium and it cost about RM150.00 yearly insurance premium for windscreen alone separately.

Just like my fate.. I even rented an Axia car for a vacation to Cameron Highlands for 3 days..but the problem I'm facing is different.. where the car I rented has an engine problem.. at 10 am in the morning my car broke down in the middle of the hill.. I haven't reached the top of Cameron yet..but I was lucky because there was a cafe and a toilet there.. I tried to cool the engine first..and went to drink near the cafe first while waiting for the car to cool down..after a few hours I tried to start the car..the engine was running but the car didn't have enough power to move..so I had to call the owner of the rental car to tell him the car has engine problems and is unable to move..so the owner of a rental car wants to come from Penang to Cameron (because i live in Penang) to exchange with another car (Myvi) but I waited for a long time for them to talk until 6pm before they came brought another car..so after they brought another car I continued my journey up to Cameron..I reached the top at 10 pm because of the hourly traffic jam..so I only had time to eat and sleep in Cameron..the next day I left for Kelantan and to Terengganu..

I also suspects the same thing-a rock or a hard object hit the back mirror b4 u went back to the car and when you closed the door, the air inside the car gushed to the back causing the cracking to happen. So sorry for what had happened.

Nobody checks the glass because it never breaks like that. I've never seen it happen to axia. I think it's just a freak accident.

Hi, you guys can try more local chinese food from lots of coffee shop or like hawker center also. But Malaysia is very nice because got various choices of foods that you always can find something suitable for you. I feel sorry and sad for what had happened to the car, hopefully no more this kind of shocking stuff happened again.😭

It happened to a Singapore friend’s Honda car. They were on their way from JB to Kuala Lumpur travelling along the highway. The front passenger window shattered suddenly into several pieces. Fortunately no one was hurt.

The triangle stuff we called it pulut sambal. It is glutinous rice with serunding ikan(shredded/floss fish). If u love it that much u can get it at Pekan Rabu in Alor Setar. U can make it yourself later or bring back to Japan since it is well preserve(I believe maybe 3 moths or so) do ask about it. Enjoy your stay in Alor Setar.

I thought the triangle stuff we call reflective safety triangle. It is for emergencies, it comes with the car safety kit (also torchlight, whistle, safety vest, jack, oxygen mask, fire extinguisher, bandage, wound plasters, panadol, cough syrup, cough lozenge, hand sanitizer)

Speaking of spaghetti, you guys should try Laksa Johor. That variant indeed is spaghetti.

It can only happen if there an existing fracture in the glass. The pressure of shutting the hatch with all windows closed finished the job. The same thing happened to my neighbour. Luckily it’s just a rental. Hopefully you ticked off the box for full insurance coverage.

btw when u ask apa ini, she replied sambal nyioq which means sambal coconut (kelapa). kedah slang calls it nyioq, which sounds like nyee-yok
