When was it confirmed that Hades is Mal's father? Because in the books, it clearly says that Mal's father was weak and that one of the reasons why Maleficent felt so disappointed in her daughter was precisely because Mal's temper was so much like her father's and Maleficent thought that he was weak and Hades is not someone you would call weak or think that he's weak. Besides, that theory seems more like a bad written fanfiction instead of something written by the creator of the whole Descendants saga, Melissa has not confirmed anything about Hades and Mal being father and daughter yet and I don't know why there are so many fans thinking that Mal is Hades' child when the movie has not been released yet and even if it had been released already, I highly doubt that Mal would be Hades' daughter because there are a lot of fans thinking that and if there's something I have learnt about making theories about movies, TV shows, books, comics or whatever, is that most of the theories fans come up with won't become canon facts, there have been very few times when these crazy theories have become a canonical part of the story and I highly doubt that this time it will be different. We have to wait until the movie is released to be 100% sure that Hades is Mal's true father and Maleficent's former lover or else, we might be wasting too much time believing in something that will never be canon and when the movie shows us how wrong we were, we won't like it because we wanted out theories to be true and when it doesn't happen, we feel disappointed or we start thinking that the story is trash just because we didn't get what we wanted
