I have no issue with the family dynamic here with the context of the Brandy Cinderella movie being multiracial. Prince's dad was White, mom was Black, Prince is Filipino. Chloe is Black without any mixed Filipino background (missed opportunity there where they could have cast a Blackipino. I have a Blackipino distant cousin who is absolutely adorable, but I digress considering Chloe still looks like she very much can be Brandy and Paolo's child), Chad is White. It's all just a throwback to how the original movie went about casting, and I like it. I'm all for mixed families.

This! So much this! Because people are big mad over Chad and Cinderella and Prince Charming like adoption does exist, but they don’t outwardly mention that. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Also, after the end of the Royal Wedding which did wrap up the OG’s story this new storyline was hinted at too. So anyone should have seen this coming. Exactly I feel like people are hating this movie because it’s not the originals and it’s not even out yet.
