Great review of the Redline, Ross. Impressive power being around 1300hp. You can tell the owner has put a lot of work into it. Having the 2 speed Powerglide would have made it very different to drive. You’re getting some great reviews from Melbourne once again. Can’t wait to see the rest.

As someone who has a preference for Aussie V8s it is awesome to see that they are capable of serious power. People often downplay these cars,supras,XR6 turbos,skylines,Subaru WRX are not the only ones capable of big dyno numbers.Then again I like all of those cars to.

I remember a dyno comp 7yrs ago, between different car clubs in NSW. EVO 3rd, GTR R35 2nd, VF GTS 1st, had, a lot spent for back then, $18k, and could track all day everyday...

It would be a mid 11 sec car on CarWow. I’m sure the owner can afford a $225 dragy - but most Aussie car owners are allergic to them. Big difference on prepped strip verse runway/road surface.

I think maybe the most practical solution is a supercharger instead of a turbo for many reasons, but they both do the same thing, but has different dynamics.
